This hotel is in excellent condition. Its comfortable, quiet and outside the hustle and bustle of inner Prague. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only bad thing about the room was the shower was a little on the small side. A small inconvenience given the price of the hotel. The breakfast was really good and hearty. Scrambled eggs and the standard european fare - breads, cold cuts, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, fruits, etc. The restaurant was nice as well.
Warning - there is a nice walk to the metro station. Its not that bad, really. But for people that aren't prepared for a nice walk, be forewarned. I'd say its a 15-20 minute walk uphill going to the station. You can catch a bus a little closer but that's still a decent walk.
The hotel receptionist(s) all spoke good English and were friendly. The only person that wasn't very friendly was the lady that kept the breakfast area stocked.
If you've never been to Prague, please be sure to keep plenty of pocket change for the toilets and the metro. For some reason, the Metro only accepts coins. You can get a 24 hour ticket for about 110 kr. Also, if you drive or have a rental car, parking is plentiful and free at the hotel!
After unforeseen circumstances beyond their control. The staff were very professional and helpful in explaining what happened and were very apologetic. We were made to feel very welcomed and enjoyed our stay. The location was approximately 5 minutes walk from I.P Pavlova which has good links to the airport and also the tram service( No. 22) to the Old Town and Prague Castle. Lots of authentic restaurants nearby and most importantly cheap bars to drink beer. Overall an excellent hotel which is highly recommended.
Very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom comfortable and clean. The breakfast was more than sufficient, with cereal, pastries and cooked breakfast available, and service was very efficient. I had room service for dinner which was delivered quickly and was quite tasty. I used the pool facilities which was lovely but there is an extra charge for this and you do need to check opening times as it is open to non-hotel residents. The hotel is in a good location near to the Metro station and opposite a large shopping arcade which includes a supermarket.
Stayed here 4 nights and loved it all. from the personalized check-in to the chic design in the hotel lobby; from the key activated lights in the room to the hugely fluffy comforters on the sleep inducing beds; from the granite in the bathroom to the really nice wine glasses (red, white, and champagne!). Check out the roof top deck (small, but worth a few minutes). We took a bottle of wine up there and just watched night fall on Prague.
Then there is the staff. Young people who are on the ball all the time. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped us figure out how to get to the National Gallery with the Muncha exhibit, Slav Epic (worth it!!!) and asked about our day when we came in.
Location is the absolute best. 2-3 blocks from Old Town Square but much quieter than the hotels actually on the Square. The Marionette Theatre is literally around the corner,as is the Post Office. My traveling friend and I are each planning on going back and when we do, we'll stay at the Emblem.
