Old Parsonage Hotel - Oxford Hotels

Old Parsonage Hotel

1 Banbury Road, Oxford - Map
"Good location. Quiet"
The hotel is very clean. Room is small. Storing space for clothes way too small. No room for suitcase(s)! No bath, shower only. Significantly overpriced. Breakfast unacceptably expensive!

Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel

"great location"
Hotel staff was very helpful and responsive. Room was large as was bathroom. Especially liked shower as easy to use with push buttons. Location right on High Street was perfect for my needs what with buses a short walk. On the edge of the campus, I could easily walk to all meetings. Also walking back to hotel late a night was not a problem. If need to be back in Oxford, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The Tower House - Oxford Hotels

The Tower House

15 Ship Street, Oxford - Map
"Good location"
Arrived on a Sunday and advised to go to nearby cafe for check in and met with the manager who took as straight to the Tower House where we could leave our luggage and after returned to find our room ready and luggage in room. We had several communications with Charis and these were replied to immediately and she informed us before our arrival that road works were in progress in the street and may cause some problems if we were arriving by car. Very thoughtful and efficient. Good location near main shopping streets, friendly pubs and restaurants. All sight within walking distance.

The Buttery - Guest House

11-12 Broad Street, Oxford - Map
"Small hotel right near Trinity College"
The hotel is small and homey. It's across the street from Trinity, and walkable from the bus depot. You need to climb stairs here. The room we got was in the front, so we could see the street. It was noisy! The hotel itself is also noisy. It's old (like everything in Oxford) but in good repair. We got what looked like a skeleton key for our room which we had to leave at the front desk when we went out. The staff were very helpful with directions and booking taxis. There is a sandwich shop below the hotel, which I think supplies breakfast, but I couldn't figure out how it worked so we didn't eat there. The food there was not good from North American standards, we stopped by for lunch and I would not have wanted to go back.

Macdonald Randolph Hotel

Beaumont Street, Oxford - Map
"Great British Hotel"
From the concierges in pin-striped trousers and cut-away coats to the tea, the Randolph is a charming place to stay. In spite of the recent kitchen fire, they are handling everything beautifully.

Euro Bar and Hotel

48 George Street, Oxford - Map
"Excellent central location, a bit noisy"
If you're in one of the rooms facing the bus depot, bit noisy but otherwise clean and servicable. Our shower was broken but they phoned ahead of time to inform us and gave us a discount - customer service you rarely get anywhere else and was appreciated!

Parklands - Oxford Hotels

100 Banbury Road, Oxford - Map
"Worth the price"
Very warm, comfortable and luxurious. Excellently decorated throughout with the most up to date (that I'm aware of) facilities, including wet room ensuite etc. Full cooked English breakfast available at no extra cost. The only thing that the room seemed to lack, especially for a 4 star hotel, was a dvd player in the room. But for most that being an added bonus. So overall very satisfactory.
