I moved here after my conference accommodations in the city turned out to be substandard. It’s a great little hotel. Very peaceful. Staff is mostly young, professional, warm. I didn’t have the opportunity to use the spa amenities. However, I had a great meal at the restaurant. My room was spacious, clean, well equipped. During non-rush-hour, it was about 15 British pounds to Uber into the city. I would definitely stay here again.

A haven by the river

We had a great time at Voco, it's a lovely hotel with great staff. Beautiful pool and grounds, great breakfast. I was a little worried about the location but it was very easy to get the bus to and from central Oxford and the perfect escape from the crowds

Lovely garden location on Thames fairly close to Oxford. Excellent beds and bedding but towels and robes could use an upgrade. Delicious a la carte breakfast.and lots of common areas and gardens. The sister property nearer to Oxford would have been a better choice for us as we would have liked to have been closer to Oxford

We had a catalogue of poor service from the start. My entitlement to free parking was queried by two people. I told them I don’t tell lies. We had to wait to check in when another staff member could have attended to us. We booked a twin room and were given a double. The slippers were missing and had to be asked for. One chair in the room had a dangerous broken leg. My dinner was only just warm enough to eat a some vegetables were cold. The fish was lukewarm and overcooked ruining a good piece of hake. Staff showed us to our table, asked if we wanted water which was not brought until a waiter turned up 20 minutes later to take our order. We were not offered a drink while we read the menu and had to ask for it when the waiter turned up to take our food order. Breakfast was ok with a good selection but the advertised eggs cooked to perfection weren’t unless specially ordered. Overall very poor for a supposed 4star hotel.

Wonderful stay

Friendly reception staff, beautiful beamed room (king premium) in the old part of the hotel. The staff in the restaurant, both for breakfast and especially evening dinner were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The pool, sauna and steam room were great

This is a true gem of a hotel and we felt that it was perfectly located for our needs. It is a lovely hour long riverside stroll into Oxford Our only complaint would be that you have to pay for parking on site. If parking must be made we would prefer to have the charge added to the bill rather than appear as an extra charge Every staff member was incredible and could not do enough to make our stay more pleasurable. Bonus points for having a sauna and steamroom We will be visiting again Thank you to all at the team at Voco Oxford Thames for making our stay a genuinely enjoyable one

Think it is a bit rich to charge hotel guests for parking, it should be part of the fee. Also, the room was advertised as providing breakfast for two, but it was in fact only for one
