Comfortable and quiet room with a good breakfast buffet in a great location. I walked everywhere I wanted to go. I highly recommend staying here when in Oxford,
It was an unusual heatwave during our stands we were grateful for the air conditioning! Staff wasn’t super friendly but the rooms were decent and clean.
Comfortable hotel, internal view of several out of service air conditioning units was not very atmospheric. One day my room was not serviced and on my last morning I was interrupted several times by housekeeping long before checkout so felt rushed out
Everything was excellent! The staff couldn't have been more friendly and professional, the room and public areas were spotlessly clean and we really felt that we would return in the future. Thanks for such a lovely stay!
The hotel is very well-situated close to the main Oxford campus and adjoining commercial district. However, it has enough distance so that it feels less crowded. There is also a wonderful shopping mall area within a few minutes walk that has tons of great restaurants across a wide variety of price points. There was construction noise for this very new hotel all three afternoons so it made resting difficult. The manager Christina apologized for this inconvenience. Overall it was a very good breakfast and hotel experience.
Location is very good as it is close to the train station and city centre.
Staff were very kind and helpful.
Standard rooms are fairly small with small windows compared with some other hotels. The frosted glass door on the bathroom and part of the bathroom wall mean that anyone who gets up in the middle of the night and puts the light on wakes up anyone sharing the room.
Breakfast choice is okay, although I had read on some reviews that it was great. On two of the mornings there were not enough cups and I was told to use a disposable cup. When a large coach party came to stay, there were not enough seats in the restaurant area especially when people in the same coach party but not staying at the hotel also sat in the restaurant area.
Our stay was expensive being the August bank holiday but for the cost I did expect more from the room and the food choice.
Clean room and very welcoming staffs however I do not like the location of the place. It’s in a quiet area and not as pleasant as it was shown on the media.
The first night was tough. My room was on the ground floor next to an extremely noisy neighbour , slamming doors every 5 minutes to their friends room then back. The preceding repeated until 12am. The second night was even worse, their girlfriends joined them so more visitings in between rooms with slamming doors plus yelling in Chinese. I couldn’t take it anymore so the front desk called them to calm down but it didn’t work. I wanted to switch rooms but was told it’s fully booked. After I pleaded for few more minutes, the night manager moved me to a room that was reserved for another guest. That night I finally find peace. I appreciated the effort the staff made to accommodate my situation. Other things I can think of was that the bed was more comfortable on the higher floor I moved to than the ground floor.
All the staff were especially helpful. My daughter and i enjoyed our stay. All the majoy toyrust sights had easy accessability. We highly recommend this hotel.
