"We really loved this place. It’s an old house with plenty of character. We were impressed with the hot water on demand and wall air conditioner/heating unit…and unlike many other places we’ve stayed, it was quiet! The house itself is on a fairly busy road, which we are not used to. We just made sure we had ear plugs to deal with the traffic (something you probably would never notice if the city is your home. "The property is tired and needs updating. As an example , the room needs a new air conditioner; presently there is a poorly fitting second hand window air conditioner. Elise was the highlight of the property, very attentive and engaging. Elise served us a delicious hardy breakfast. She used local products in her breakfast presentation and her little garden added to a homey feel. Elise was an excellent hostess and very accommodating. We arrived late (30 minutes) and she returned our call...

"Susan hosted a great stay for my wife and I over four days. The house and room were tidy, and the breakfast offerings were the best bar none. The front porch overlooked a well-manicured lawn on a very quiet street. Susan gave us some history of the area and pointed out stores and restaurants in the area. We were never disappointed. This was a first visit for us to this area and we hope that we can visit Susan again next year. "

"Incorrectly booked another hotel for the wrong night. Cora took us in last minute and was gracious to all of us, even making up a second bed last minute and bringing milk for evening tea. The kids enjoyed the large projection screen and the swingset outside. We couldn't get enough of the view and the beautiful decor. Very well kept and loved by the owner. Linens, extra condiments and bath products at the ready! Very much appreciated, Cora. Thank you so much."

"The dock being located a very short walk away was a bit of an inconvenience but the spot was nice. Never used the hot tub…was disgustingly dirty upon arrival. However host addressed right away and sent a cleaner the next day. It took 2 days for the water in the tub to heat back up and another day to clear. We decided not to use it. But it dod become very clean. All in all a nice place for the price and so easy to get to."
