"I booked 1 night as a stopover on our way north and wishes we’d booked longer . When we drove past and I saw the scaffolding and boarding I thought it’s only one night. However once we got through the front door everything changed. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome and shown to our room ,even having help to carry our case up. The room was beautiful decorated and had a seaview. There was a table and chairs in the window where we sat and watched the world go by. The en-suite was very clean and had soap, shower gel and fluffy white towels. Once we were settled in we went for a walk along the promenade, the views across the bay were stunning. Back to the hotel after a lovely meal at the nearby bowling, Italian restaurant, we watched the sunset over the bay. In the morning we got up after having a very comfortable nights sleep and had a very good breakfast. There was plenty of choice which was all self service. We will be back and staying longer next time .it just shows you should never judge a book by its cover. The scaffolding didn’t stop our enjoyment. We’re looking forward to seeing the building when it’s finished. Thank you everyone at the Clifton, you made our stay very happy "
