"My sister-in-law and I had a quick weekend getaway to wine country and this cottage was perfect! We each got our own room and room to spead out comfortably. And a beautiful surprise was a bouquet of fresh flowers waiting for us! Amazing! It was well equipped for cooking (and a very sensitive fire alarm) and the views were gorgeous. We enjoyed cups of coffee every morning overlooking the front. Just perfect!"

"We chose this property for its proximity to Early Mountain Vineyards, which was our primary destination, but we loved coming back to the cottage and making a wood fire with the complimentary wood the owner left us! We ended up not cooking anything ourselves, but all the necessary supplies were there if we had wanted to. A nice secluded spot right next to a river!"

"Perfect little place for my husband and I to stay while visiting our daughter at UVA. It was a quick drive to campus. This cottage provides more room than a hotel room. There was a cute back porch (with a porch swing!) that you could relax and have a glass of wine. Our cottage looked out on a pasture with goats."

"Vineyard Carriage House is an excellent property and the perfect place to stay for visiting Shenandoah National Park. The house is located on scenic grounds with walking trails that pass through a meadow and the grapevines. The house itself is very cozy and immaculately clean. We were greeted by a gift basket that included wine, confections, and potpourri. The pantry was stocked with snacks, coffee pods, and kitchen supplies. The master bed is memory foam. Angela generously fulfilled our request...

"My dog loved the smells and just wanted to stand on the front patio and sniff as horses grazed nearby or looked back at her. The interior of the cottage was delightful, very clean with very comfy bed and full kitchen. I enjoyed walking around the property in dawn's early light and met several workers who were very friendly and ready to address a tree that had fallen across one of the trails. There are at least two wedding venues on the property which may give an idea of how scenic and beautiful...

"Pros: Serene location, picturesque pond in backyard, great vibes and friendly staff. We were here for a wedding and had a wonderful time. Cons: Older farm dog off leash on property-roams around and bit our friend’s dog, causing him to bleed, Pond house cute but could be cleaner-quite dusty. "

"Our stay was preempted by an emergency with our son at UVA. Luckily the owners were very understanding and let us take our belongings early so we could focus on our son’s needs. Not only was it a hospitable stay, everything was decorated beautifully and comfortably! A hidden gem! Thank you."
