"This is essentially a pole barn, and I assume it was once used as one, as indicated by the slight farm smell inside. The fact it's wide open is NOT a negative it's nice having room to move around, and the sleeping arrangements just work. Nobody (5) of us bothered the other while sleeping or staying up later than the rest. It worked out great. "The house was absolutely beautiful and was situated about 15 minutes outside Hamilton. I have traveled a lot a the hosts were excellent. I got to meet two other guests staying there as well. I didn’t have a tv in my room but it gave me the opportunity to unplug from the world. I did log in using their high speed internet and it was the best of any location I stayed at in New Zealand. "We weren't quite sure what to expect, as we are not normally into the glamping style of accommodation. But we loved every bit of what this place had to offer. Peaceful, no TV, surrounded by nature, over looking lake, fishing rod, kayaks, BBQ, selection of fresh produce on arrival, no neighbours anywhere close, what more could you want for serious downtime. Being a bus it has 'bus' sized amenities so you have to be prepared for that. Having said that it had a full sized very comfortable bed. Also...
