"Great apartment close to wedding I attended."
Great modernistic apartment suitable for everyone. Loved the open plan concept that could be closed off as and where needed. Quick and easy service from collecting key + garage access and returning + available brochures of the area. Location is great as close enough to tourist areas such as wineries and vineyards but still out of the way to be quiet and relaxing. Saw 3 kangaroos as we were driving into the area! Very trim, tidy well maintained area in general and really liked the privacy hedges as driving into the garage. Very nice quiet area, close to attractions such as the Irish Pub, Chocolate and Fudge factory, Smelly Cheese House, great area + stay. At the apartment, loved the garage area, it had shelves where you could store things, lots of cupboards and storage inside, hair dryer was probably the best I've used from an apartment/hotel in a long time! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be staying here again for my next trip into the Hunter Valley. Loved the apartment, loved the area - keep up the great work!

Was a lovely hotel, our villa that we booked was cosy. sometimes the lights in the bathroom would flicker but that's probably just some electrical wiring. one of the sofas in the living room had a few cockroaches crawling out. overall it was good, the reception would have been nice if it was closer and it would have been nice if the pool was bigger or if there were more than one pool. the reception staff were nice people. We stayed before and after new years, there was one staff member that was rude to my partner as we weren't invited to a VIP 'event' which was a new years eve buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant and reception. Unaware of the event, my partner was told he could not stand OUTSIDE on the patio. When my partner asked why, the staff said "because we cant." Thinking we weren't good at english, my partner said that we are paying customers of the hotel and we simply wanted some fresh air and stood out on the patio. Again the staff member said "don't you understand you cant be here" my partner again asked what do we need to do to be allowed to be here. and he said you need a VIP band, to which he pointed at his own band and said that it was unavailable as of that moment. Other than that incident, the rest of the stay was okay.

Fantastic room, Top location. The only downside is one nights accommodation is clearly not long enough of a stay.

Harrigan's Irish Pub & Accommodation

"Good location and well priced"
We were overall really happy with our stay at Harrigan's. We stayed in the premier suite with two couples and there was plenty of room. The fireplace was lovely, although we ran out of wood quite quickly. The bathroom was massive. We had a nice courtyard that overlooked a vineyard. Check in time at 3pm was a bit late and would have been better at 2pm. We went to Tempus Two for dinner one night and it took us 15mins to walk there and back in the dark, it would have been great if a shuttle service was offered. We didn't think there would be many taxis around and that would take us the short distance. The second night we ate at Harrigan's Restaurant, which was very overpriced and one of the worst meals we have ever had. The food quality was terrible and one of our meals came out 50mins after everyone else's. They did however offer us a free round of drinks. The drink prices were SO expensive which we didn't expect considering it's a pub. I think they know they can charge it because there are no other places around to go out. Harrigan's was fun with the live band on the Saturday night but not much of an atmosphere on the Sunday night, even though it was a long weekend. I would recommend booking restaurants on a long weekend as everywhere seemed to be booked out. Recommend visiting these wineries - Audrey Wilkinson, Cockfighter's Ghost, Leo's Gate and Tempus Two

"wrong bedroom"
we where given the wrong bed in the first night , but they changed it to the correct bed, King, for the second night . We had to move rooms, to do that. Overall continental breakfast was good, but could have had skim milk as a choice. Bathrooms where clean , beds where comfortable. Hunter Valley in general is expensive for the stay on a weekend, considering the view. I would suggest the winery incorporate a 1 or 2 hour tour of its own winery for free at around 9.00am on either a Saturday or sunday and sell wine to the people staying there at a cheaper rate or similar, just to promote there own wine or other products maybe even a hot breakfast
