On our way to Toronto, it was located 4min from where we had decided to break for the evening on our journey. It was affordable. There was a mature, elegant/fancy, and charming feel. Nice and intimate. Definitely did not feel like a typical chained hotel. The room was small but still okay for my family of 4. I would not stay again with my kids but may if it were just my husband and I. Main issue, as nice as the bathroom was the sink mirror was in the room. Would not be an issue if the room were bigger and the sink/mirror area could be tucked away out of sight around a wall or corner. Also there is no carpeting and the room was cold for me. A couple of rugs would have made the place literally and figuratively warmer.
One staff we encountere at check in was nice, she could have explained the elevator's location and distance better and or called for someone to support with carrying luggage upstairs (or just advised us to do that), as it would have been faster... the elevator was that far! Free Parking was onsite. Once we got to our room we then parked at a closer entrance to the elevator, the staff person at check in did tell us where the closest areas to park were located. So check out will be easier at least. There wer lots of restaurants within walking distance to meet different price points and palates - that we appreciated. There was a restaurant on site, which did not provide comp. breakfast but could be purchased for about $20. Corridors were small, place was quiet.
