"Upon checking in, Mr. Keira at front desk was very helpful to change my room for quiet side. I was warned that the room is a little smaller than another rooms and the bathroom is unit bath. Yes, room is smaller, but it is ok. However, the bathroom is very small and not enough ventilation. Later on I noticed the door is able keep open. It’s very heavy door. In generally the room is accessible."

"Great Location. Short walk to Ueno Station and direct express train (Skyliner) to Narita airport. Short train ride to Akihabara, Tokyo Station, Asakusa and Sky Tree. Lots of restaurants near by. Short walk to street market (Ameyoko) Cons: Small hotel with small elevator and low door way, so not good for tall (Over 6’) people."

"Hotel staff was friendly. Room was clean. Self laundry was in the back. I will definitely stay here again in the future on my next trip to Japan. Would have stayed longer but they had no avaliable rooms for another 3 days so had to go to another hotel."

"The hotel is fantastic, it's in great condition considering it's age. The staff are more attentive than at most of the 5 star hotels I've stayed at and the food options on site are exceptional. Especially the small bar. The rooms are a little dated but it's more like being in a movie set during the showa period than run down everything has been kept up well. "The hotel is in a good location for transport links. We were able to travel around tokyo with ease. The hotel is in good condition and is very clean. Staff members were very friendly and even allowed us to check in early because they saw our children were very tired. The free coffee at reception was a nice touch. The room was very small and had no storeage space but i found this to be normal in Japan."
