"We spent 2 nights here & were very comfy, enjoyed having breakfast on the sunny veranda. Convenient location, easy walk to shops, restaurants & the passenger ferry to go across the harbour. Lovely local walks, wish we had more time to spend here."

"We had a great time. The property is very family friendly and you can’t beat the location. I strolled down to the beach with my cup of coffee in the mornings. It only takes about 2 minutes. The kids enjoyed digging for hot water and swimming in the little river which is all a few hundred meters away. The communication with the owner was easy. We highly recommend this property."

"If you are considering this area for your stay, you MUST consider the Coromandel Treasure. We have stayed in many rental properties and this is by far the best we have ever stayed in. It was spotless, spacious, quality in every decision Lyn made. It is well equipped and Lyn went beyond to leave us a welcome package and a wonderful breakfast bar. Which helped so much to get us through the first morning until we could go to 4 Square, a short walk away into the quaint town. Top Town Fish and Chips...

"It was my first visit to Waikawau area where there are two adjacent beautiful bays, Waikawau Bay and Little Bay. The holiday home, Kaka Cottage we stayed at was truly a nice place to enjoy comfort and tranquility as it is situated in the top forest and the host couple is very kind and friendly. They are peace loving people. We really enjoyed staying at the house. I recommend to all."

"This place is immaculate. It is easy to feel ‘at home’ straight away. Everything we needed was there and the hosts were very helpful. Close to town and also to the lake. Waihi beach less than 10 minutes away and others not much further. The Hauraki Rail Trail so close. It was quiet and all in all, a great place to stay."

"We had 5 adults and 3 children staying at the Bach. We all loved it. The location was fabulous for us as we visited the beach (and the estuary) often, and it was less than a 5 minute walk. The street and area generally felt very safe and family friendly, and it was nice and peaceful at the house. The house was warm, comfortable and well equipped. "This is a great location in Tairua. We had the two bedroom upstairs villa which is a little dated. Huge main bedroom and ensuite. The second bedroom was combined with a lounge so nowhere really to sit for a chat without being in with the kids. The kitchen was really just a couple of cupboards and a bar fridge. But all was very clean, beds comfortable, great location. The managers were lovely. We will stay again."
