The house is clean and welcoming, zoned, with lux inclusions like the big tv, spa pool, deep bath, double rain head shower, open plan living/ kitchen and large garden set in rural location away from it all - Retreat. However, it is equally a great base to explore nature in the Catlins. High recommended."

"The decor and cleanliness as good as you can get, knocks the socks off staying in a motel, five of us a bedroom each comfy warm beds, great heatpump. Going to have to think of another reason to return to Mataura so we can stay again."

"Be prepared for a tiny stay! It was a really nice spot and the host was extremely kind! We arrived way too late on accident and Rose still helped us find the accommodations. Google maps will take you to the farm address the actual accommodations are just beyond that right down the road. It was extremely clean, and a good place to stay. The views are gorgeous! "This was a great base camp for exploring the Catlins. Beds were clean and comfortable, although I felt I had to wipe down the kitchen before using it. The property was amazing! Beautiful views of the estuary, a peaceful place to walk in the mornings, and good view of stars at night. "
