"The building and rooms are beautiful and the view from the top floor is spectacular! The staff were helpful and the breakfasts had a nice variety. The Wifi never worked and would keep disconnect which was quite annoying and it is next to a Main Street which was a little noisy in the night times. Overall definitely would stay here again!"

"The front desk was very helpful and accommodating - they were able to offer us nearby parking in a private lot for 5 euros per night - we’ll worth it to know we would have a safe place to park each night we got home, and also while we were doing things I. "This B&B is a hidden gem on the island. Excellent location (downtown) made walking to the harbour effortless. Close to many restaurants and sites. "This Quinta is set on ca. 3 ha of land, more/less in the country side yet < 10 min away from some great seafood restaurants and 15 min away from Angra do Heroismo. The host and hostess are very friendly, helpful, and interesting. The breakfasts were nice, featuring different cheeses from different Azores islands and home made jams and preserves. The Quinta is well located with easy access to several sightseeing destinations. We had a wonderful stay and heartily recommend it."

"What a GREAT surprise. No regular Motel experience here. Like staying in your Grandma's House. Everyone staying has a place set for Breakfast. Great Conversation and trip discusions. Breakfast is all local sourced, really good! Yogurts.Jambs, Breads, Fruits, eggs. and coffee your way! I met all German people and had a great time. Did a local hike with the owner and some guests. This was a great start to a wonderfull trip! "

"Emanuel is a really pleasant host, however it wasnt the quietest property, partly because the floors creaked everytime someone was walking and partly because some guests checked in pretty late. Overall a great way to get acquianted with island. "

"the only good thing is the location as for the rest not happy at all my cousin who stayed at this place for 20 days was not happy at all first they gave her a small room that had no bathroom then they moved her to another room with a private bathroom but on the 3 floor of the building and as she is a senior and has problems with her knees it was hard for climbing the stairs also there was never toilette paper she bought her own no one ever came to change towels she washed and dried the ones that...

"The hotel smelled lovely upon arrival—spa-like. The front desk staff were knowledgeable and very pleasant. Although it is a conference center, it didn't feel overwhelming and large. Our room was cozy, although a bit of a hike from the stairs/elevator. We had a nice view, and I enjoyed the balcony. We did not eat at the hotel but had a drink at the bar—Mark-Anthony, the young bartender, was excellent. He was thoughtful and made a great mojito. If you like larger hotels, this is a lovely place to stay - not right in the action but walking distance to everything."

"The Octant is a great hotel. Location is perfect. The staff is absolutely amazing and very helpful. They certainly go over and beyond to make your stay perfect. The hotel is clean, up to date and the breakfast is soooo delicious!! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone that goes to Sao Miguel. This is one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed in. Our room was comfortable, clean and amazing. We can’t wait to go back again! AND….its DOG friendly (so cool)!!! "
