"We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet; our window overlooked a courtyard area and, therefore, seemed private. The bed was a king, which is hard to find in Europe. The shower water had amazing pressure! We were glad to have the fridge for our wine, and water was supplied daily in our room. The room is just as pictured. We were a few steps from the Capitole square. (This area is ripe with activity, protests, homeless, young people!)"

" If you want to experience a unique hotel in a beautiful town then look no further than the Alchimy. The welcome, the rooms, the service and the evening food is of the highest quality and we will go back there again. The only negative comment we have is about the breakfast as following the excellence of the evening meal we expected, at the least, a large selection at a buffet breakfast but instead we just had a basket of bread and croissants, an orange juice and a coffee so for €12.50...

"The restaurant was closed because it has no chef and so we had to drive to a sister hotel close by. If we had known this prior to the stay, we would have cancelled the booking as we specifically wanted to eat on premises after a long drive. "

Unfortunately, our email was misrouted to one of their partner companies, which failed to forward it. There was no dining availability at the hotel when we arrived. The reception staff booked us into a family oriented brasserie in the local town, mainly serving burgers on one night, and on the other night into a steakhouse within a bowling...

"We were delighted with our upgrade to a suite - from a regular room - what a night and day difference. We were, however, quite disappointed with the repair of the chateau in general. It felt tired, the garden was lovely but didn't have a well kept feel. The pool was average, but the hot tub was not in use, covered up with some old cushions. The staff were amazing - Noelle and her husband took very good care of us."
