Rooms were clean and the bunk setup is great, solid bed and plenty of space in the rooms. Lockers free to use with a padlock and common areas had plenty of seating. Slow wifi though and breakfast buffet was a little limited

"Very nice hotel, close to the main train station."
My husband and I had to stay in Frankfurt overnight, before flying back to the U.S. It was very practical that the hotel was located within a three minute walk from the Hbf train station, from where one can easily access the airport. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and sparkling clean, with a private bathroom, which despite its moderate limitation space wise, was spotless , convenient and easy to use,.The free breakfast buffet was ample, diverse and generous. There was free Wi-Fi. The manager, Boris, was friendly and helpful. We came away with the impression that for the price, one can not find a better value.

The only problem for me was that there was no elevator, just stairs, since it's a very old, beautiful, historical frame-work building. I had a heavy suitcase that I could't carry upstairs. However, I was allowed to leave it downstairs behind the reception desk, so my problem was solved!!! The personnel was VERY friendly. I liked it so much after the first two nights that I came back a week later for another night. I would recommend this hotel for young and fit people who don't have much money, who don't bring heavy luggage or can carry it, who can climb stairs, and who want to be in the middle of night life (it's in a street with lots of pubs and bars, and you can hear them until about 4 a.m.). I wouldn't recommend it to people who need absolute silence, or have trouble walking, since it's in a street (Grosse Ritter Gasse) where taxis aren't allowed to drive, so people have to drag their luggage over cobble stone pavement for a few minutes until they reach the entrance. There's a taxi stand right in the next street, Elizabeth Strasse. You need a cell phone working in Germany to call the taxis if none are there at the moment! The prices of Ritter Hotel are GREAT! Where else can you find that in a big city like Frankfurt for such beautiful rooms with shower and TV? The breakfast was wonderful. I'm definitely coming back.

This is a very basic hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower worked well. But there is no space to sit and work in your room.
Breakfast is adequate - and excellent value given how little they charge for it.
The staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind. They are saints!
But the cost of the room in comparison to its size and to the amenities offered is staggering!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. For us, this hotel served as a cheaper jumping off point for day trips (rental car) to the Rheinland than hotels there. Offenbach itself is not particularly quaint however, so travelers preferring postcard-like surroundings might wish to look elsewhere.
