Loved the warm water in the swimming pool. However, the room we were staying in, C211, was poorly insulated from noise. Every morning and night we were waken by noisy guests in the room next door. Hope if we come back next time we are given a room that is better insulated from noise from adjoining rooms.

My partner (now fiancé!) and I had an excellent stay here. I rang in advance to organise a couple of things as a surprise as I was planning to propose to my partner during our stay in Palm Cove. Daniella was a star and helped out massively. Our room was beautiful, the rest of the staff were lovely, the included breakfast was really good and we had dinner in the Temple of Tastes restaurant one night which also really tasty. The hotel is in a great location in the beach town of palm cove: just out of the town enough that it feels secluded and peaceful but still walking distance to the Esplanade, bus and a number of restaurants, bars etc. You can walk right to the beach from the pool area of the hotel. We also had a great experience in the hotel’s Spa having massages.

Location is spectacular, right in the middle of Port Douglas, you can walk everywhere - restaurants, supermarket, Great Barrier Reef boats, wine store, etc.

On the first day we weren’t even provided with hand wash! Only one little bar of soap, not even the usual toothpaste or the complimentary amenities that hotels provided for guests - only a few tissues left in the tissue box, one toilet paper roll for a 5 day stay, we opted to have the cleaner only come once and even then they didn’t even vacuum the floor. No heating available so it gets chilly at night. The hotel itself is quite old and due for some renovations. The staff were generally all very kind, however would not recommend and would not book again purely because of the poor quality restaurant, lack of cleanliness, old and outdated design.
