The apartment was large and well set out with a kitchen full of essentials.
The property does not have an ocean frontage or view, but we knew that. Most rooms look out over one or the other pool.

Had a wonderful 10 night stay at Shantara. We loved being so close to Macrossan st and the beach, while the pool was an amazing end to each day. The Hotel was peaceful, beautiful and quiet. As is normal for Far North Queensland, there is not everyday cleaning service but we don’t use that anywhere anyway. Plenty of parking, but if you didn’t bring a car everything is walking distance with shuttle bus options for longer journeys. The only black mark of the stay were our neighbours on the pool deck room who were obviously upset at having a queer couple nearby, so disappointing in 2026 but not the Hotels fault at all.
