Northern Australia Kid friendly Holidays

The Phoenician at broadbeach is wonderful. We have stayed many times. Unfortunately this time the Appartement 2816 was very dated, mouldy tiles in the smallest bathroom ever. Very disappointing.The owners should update.

Our unit we stayed in was on the 40th floor it was an amazing view and position. Close to shops and restaurants. But Safe was broken and main bed was very saggy on the right had side. Bed needs replacing but all else was very good

Reception told us they would upgrade us but it would take some time. they gave us a $50 voucher for the adjacent restaurant which cost us $130 for a light meal. I had to ask for an engineer to fix a very noisy exhaust fan. would not go back

Lovely spot. Great views. Close to dining/shopping/beach etc. A stunning backdrop for a lovely break.

Probably the only issue for us was the road noise from the Highway in the Hinterland apts. Double glazing would help. Apartment was great and staff were very fruendly and helpful. We had an issue with shower slide and it was fixed very promptly.

Room was clean but a bit dated. The staff were so lovely at check in and check out. The room cleaners always said good morning and tidied up our room each day. It was nice to visit during the Easter break as there were lots of families with kids also enjoying the hotel and its facilities but it also wasn't over crowded. I would stay here again. My kid loved the pools and the playground. We also utilised the kids club for one night and my daughter seemed to have fun as it was the first time she had ever been to one. Only thing I would mention is they might need to invest in more plates for the breakfast as they seemed to run out from 8.30am onwards. I'd also recommend getting breaky at 7.30am if you can as there are more tables available before the rush. They held an Easter egg hunt and did a great job of ensuring all the kids got an egg and they were also Cadbury (so delicious). I highly recommend going to Amici, the steak was sensational and so were the prawns and the pineapple cocktail was delicious. I would recommend for them to get kids desserts that don't have peanuts but it was great they were aware of the allergens in their foods so we could feel confident in what we ordered. The kids activity play room is amazing, it too could also use an update. 80% of the games worked but it would be great if they all did. Honestly, I would happily stay here again in future, it was perfect for kids and families, well ours at least.
