We got the penthouse and it was very nice. One elevator was out of service at the time so it made it challenging to get up to the 18th floor. We liked our room and the location was great.

Really nice apartment and really good staff, we had 2 issues which when I pinged for support got fixed immediately (was a Saturday). So 5 stars ! The low on amenities was it was missing some basics eg no salt etc but the upside was when I contacted them about missing knives etc it was immediately fixed … this is rare in my experience and hence I highly recommend

The adevExtremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend Our experience with this accommodation was terrible from the beginning. Firstly, one of the front door keys kept jamming in the lock, and it took us around half an hour just to get the door open and gain access to the property. This was incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable. The check-in and key collection process was also extremely inconvenient and, in my opinion, not properly or clearly advertised on the Expedia listing. We had to travel to a separate location just to pick up the key, then pay for an Uber back to the accommodation. At checkout, we had to do the same thing again — catch another Uber just to return the key. The whole process was an absolute mission and made what should have been a simple check-in and checkout unnecessarily stressful, time-consuming and expensive. On top of that, the hairdryer in the bathroom was practically useless because the nozzle did not even fit properly, making it difficult to use.

The room was clean inside except for the ensuite which had water leaking from the toilet ,running accross the floor. The pool and balcony area were filthy. The pool was cold in spite of there being a pool heater which wasn't operational. When we complained about it to Q Stay( they mange the apartment on behalf of a private owner) they said the pool is not advertised as being heated. Q Stay said they would send house keeping to clean inside but not outside. House keeping didn't come during our stay. Soul management could help because it is a privately owned apartment. It seems the owner is probably to tight to spend on cleaning and maintenance.

Excellent place for us to use as a base for vivisting Sydney for a short holiday. 5-10min walk from Redfern railway station meaning it was easy to move around the city.

Booked accommodation was not provided and more than 6 weeks later I have not received a refund/reimbursement for extra accom costs incurred, despite Expedia's written commitment to do so within 7-10 business days. Expedia had advised that access details would be emailed on day of arrival. This did not happen. We waited on the roadside at night for a couple of hours trying to make contact with the host (to no avail). After hours on the phone, Expedia found accommodation for one night only and we checked in after 11pm. When I rang Expedia next morning the problem was not resolved and Expedia was unable to find new accommodation. I suggested I book a hotel and explained it would now be very costly due the running event that attracts thousands of visitors to the Gold Coast. We were finally able to check in that afternoon. Recent emails to Expedia requesting an update on progress of the reimbursement have gone unanswered. Customer service officers I have spoken with are unable to advise of the reason for the delay or to provide a definitive date by which the payment will be made. A further email outlining my dissatisfaction with Expedia’s efforts and requesting resolution has also been ignored. Many hours of a short 3-day break were spent waiting by the roadside and on the phone with Expedia which required a rearrangement of our planned schedule. I have not been advised of why the apartment was not able to be accessed or received an apology from the host for the inconvenience.
