The hotel was clean, and the overall property was well maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive when tips were given; however, service quality noticeably declined when tipping was not involved. The specialty restaurants require reservations well in advance. If you're unable to secure a reservation, your only dining option is the Tatish buffet. The food was decent, but many dishes lacked seasoning and flavor. The bar service was excellent once you started tipping. Without tipping, the service felt less attentive, and the quality of the tequila served seemed noticeably lower.

Hotel and staff are okay. Food was not great. Were not even asked how the stay was on check out. Check in was disaster. Not what we have experienced with secrets in the past.

Excellence Playa Mujeres was mine and my fiancé’s first all adult resort. Couldn’t have picked a better resort. The service was amazing, food delicious, amenities, activities, detail and beach were all perfect. 10/10
