"Our hostess was very, very accessable, and very sweet and generous. The rental was very private, clean and comfortable. Both nights we got to have a wonderful little fire to sit beside, and the barbecue was great to use for dinners. Lots of good movies. I watched the Green Mile for the first time...wow."

"This property is nice, clean and updated. The only things I have to say in regard to the property is that there is not an easy path down to the river. I think they’re in the midst of clearing trees to offer a better view of the river but that made the descent down to the water very difficult. Also, the pictures of the listings are a little misleading. It shows pictures of 2 different mills that are in the area. One is 2 minutes away and the other was about a 20 minute drive. These are not “property grounds” as indicated in the pictures. Other than that, the place was very nice. The fire pit area is nice and the back deck area is lovely for enjoying river sounds while sipping your coffee in the mornings. Check in was smooth and easy. Would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place to relax and unwind."

"Venue is older. Shower drain does not work. AC upstairs was ineffective but the mini split downstairs worked well. Owner was friendly and kind. Parking was not ideal but worked for 2 vehicles. No way to get to the water except through neighbors yard. That was not well communicated in the listing. Decent place for the location and great value."

"Our stay at this one-of-a-kind cabin in Ava, Missouri was nothing short of magical. From the moment we pulled up, we knew we were in for a special experience. The cabin itself is a masterpiece—perfectly blending rustic, cozy charm with all the modern amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated. The interior was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and felt like a true home away from home. We are already planning our next trip back!"
