Lake trip
Booked a weekend trip for the lake. It was easy to find. Nearest boat ramp about 2 miles away. Clean inside and good communication with owner/manager. Building and furnishings are older. Needs some outside work and landscaping would help. Overall a good stay. If you’re looking for new or excellent accommodations, this isn’t it. If you want an affordable stay that is clean but not new, this could be for you
Buscábamos una experiencia relajante con nuestra familia para festejar el día de acción de gracias
Pero lo que encontramos fue un lugar que olía a insecticida
Y había cucarachas en la cocina

Very clean, quiet, and peaceful. It feels like a home away from home.

The grounds are beautiful in the fall with lots of color. This was a quiet place. My dog loved exploring and it was a good place to have my dog with us. The beds were very hard and a bit uncomfortable. The couches were very soft and quite used. The coffee pot took 30 minutes to make a pot of coffee. The two beds which looked like 2 bedrooms online were actually in the same room. We still enjoyed our short 2-night stay.

Three of us stayed at the Elk Crossing cabin. It was nice to have separate sleeping arrangements and a sitting area as well. Heat was great (stayed in February), lots of hot water. It served our needs and Betty was terrific. Overall the place looks run down and old. The carpet is heavily worn, the kitchenette is dated but functional. The interior doors squeak and the patio doors don't really slide to open. With a little love and updating it would be very charming.
MS. BETTY made this stay the best for our family gathering. We will be back i would recommend these places to anyone just because of the owners made us feel so welcome right from the start.
It was a very nice cabin. I would recommend to anyone staying in that area. We were greated by the property manager at arrival and asked if we needed anything. She was very nice and very welcoming.
Very enjoyable stay. My friend and I stayed in the Bear Den which featured a jacuzzi tub. My friend had a nice soak in it. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable.
This was a lovely place to stay. I was there on business. I arrived after dark and have night vision problems - it was raining so that was a little difficult but the staff was very accommodating and stayed on the phone with me until I found my cabin. I was VERY pleased and will definitely return!
This was the cutest cabin I've ever stayed in! There was plenty of room for my family even though it's not a large cabin. The couches were large and cushy, making plenty of sleeping space for a family with children. There's even a nice hammock in the front yard, making one more sleeping spot if the weather accommodates!
The caretaker is very sweet! She brought us an extra blanket (in a zipper case) in the cold rain!
I'm sure the land is gorgeous, but we checked in after dark and left before the sun came up, so we didn't see it. I do hope we get to go back soon and spend more time there!
Great place to stay I would recommend staying here. Awesome owner.
Cabin was very large two room and a decent sized kitchen and living room. Large deck and balcony. Bring the steaks and have a grill out.
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were above and beyond friendly and accommodating to our special requests. The cabins are nice, very clean. Some of the furniture, etc. could use updating but I have experienced that in every cabin I've ever stayed in. The people that own this place have only had it about a year and from what I understand it was a mess when they bought it. I think they have done a great job in updating and cleaning the area up in a short period of time. It does need a lot more work around the grounds but it is very peaceful and tidy around the cabins. I would stay here again and do recommend this place. I'm sure improvements will be made daily and it will be even better in the near future! These new owners deserve to make it, so help them out and stay here! They have RV sights also. Just a note, they are not on the lake, which we thought they were. However, a very short distance from the lake.
