Great location, friendly service
The room was clean, the hosts were friendly and accomodating. Location is excellent, although it's a short walk (maybe 3-5 minutes) to an Uber pick up point. Just something to keep in mind if you're traveling with heavy bags. Some noise from the street below (restaurants and bars), but we didn't find it disruptive. Excellent overall.

The location is excellent. It was very clean and Irena, the owner was so attentive and helpful. The opportunity to make arrangements for transportation to/from the airport was a huge advantage and Borjan was very reliable with our transportation needs. I would definitely return to Rooms 17 Zagreb.

Best place in the Upper Town of Zagreb
This was such an amazing place to stay. It's back facing the most famous street in Zagreb. The room was amazing especially for the price point. Irene was amazing and very kind. She allowed me to store my luggage while waiting to meet with family and go to another part of town. I definitely would recommend anyone to stay there.

The location for the apartment couldn't have been better,we were so central to everything and right next to one of the main streets full of restaurants and bars. Irena was really helpful as we got a little lost at first trying to find the location as it was wrong on Google maps however this has now been resolved. Irena was a fantastic host and she gave a number of recommendations for food, 2 of which we tried and we weren't disappointed! The room we stayed in was a great size and had everything we needed,we really liked the paintings in the rooms too. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom was a good size too. Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night but we had a great time and this is the only place I'd stay in if I was to come back to Zagreb,would highly recommend!

This was in a central location near the main square and a tram line, close to restaurants and Spirit Walking tours The owners could not be more helpful, gave me great guidance on the neighbourhood and dining. It was safe and clean. It was a great experience

This was my first accommodation during my Croatia trip and it was a wonderful place! Conveniently located near restaurants, bars, shopping, attractions, and city center. It was easy to walk around and really embrace myself in Croatian culture and life. The room was spotless and comfortable. I enjoyed the view of the lovely street behind the place where the restaurants and shops are. The bed was comfy and bathroom was really nice. Irene from the hotel was incredibly helpful and provided great recommendations. She also helped me with airport transportation with a fantastic driver, Borjan, who gave me a quick city tour driving around. I was also able to get late checkout and leave my luggage while I explore. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Location!
Rooms Zagreb 17 was ideally located in old town, Zagreb. Restaurants, shops, museums and churches were all within a short walking distance. Our host, Irena, was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and helped to contribute to the success of our visit. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in Zagreb. The location was phenomenal and the host was extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful! The room was spacious and comfortable. We would definitely hope to stay here again when we make it back to Zagreb!

Nice rooms in the very heart of the old city.
We loved the location. The hosts were super helpful, they allowed us to check in early and directed us to a really nice place to have breakfast while we waited. The room itself was very clean, with daily cleaning. The Wi-Fi was excellent, allowing us to work including video calls while we stayed there. The only downside was that the shower door wasn't perfectly tight and water spilled over the floor, so we had to be careful.

A gem
The location of Rooms Zagreb 17 is ideal. Slap bang in the middle of everything. Bars, restaurants, shops or museums, whatever you need/want is nearby. Irena, the host is uber friendly and helpful and was a pleasure to meet. The room itself was spotless and had everything I needed, including a shoe horn!! I would go back here in a heartbeat!

Surprisingly nice
After the shock of the unattractive front and entry gate is over, I found a comfortable room with great views in a perfect location. I walked to most of the sights I wanted to see such as the Stone Gate, St March church, Museum of Broken Relationships etc. The hosts are super responsive, kind and helpful. Plenty of shops and restaurants all around, even a supermarket. If you need the trams, they are right there as well. Would definitely recommend.

This was the perfect property and location. From the moment I walked in I felt at home. The place was extremely clean and the location could have not been better. The tool had lovely decor and I felt it was like a little apartment. I am so happy I decided to go with Rooms 17. Will most certainly return and seek the same double room. Great memories in Zagreb due to place where I stayed and location.

Bathroom awkwardly small, while clean. Hot water heater mounted to ceiling adjacent to bed made noises, and isn't comforting to have overhead. Location is excellent and the helpfulness of the checkin lady was excellent. Price was very reasonable but we didn't realize the room's shortcomings that lead to the reasonable price. Probably the other rooms are much better given the reviews.

Right in the heart of Old Zgreb with restaurants!
Location was perfect. Smack dab in the middle of Old Zagreb. The street of restaurants is right outside the windows. A main square with trams just two blocks away. I only had one full day, so the location allowed me to see much because I had only to walk a few feet in any direction.

It's great location. But they charged 10 euro cleaning fee and didn't offer daily towel. I stayed 3 nights but I have to dry the towel and re-used it.

Dear Hyunjung, thank You for Your review! I just want to tell You that You probable didn´t understand everything about what we were talking about! Cleaning fee is not something that You are paying and getting for that towels every day! There is one "rule" in the world that if Your towel is on the floor that You will get new one..and You didn´t mentioned that we were in Your room every day, fixing Your bed, checking garbage and toilet paper - but Your towels were all the time hanging up and we are not touching them! If the guest is more days, every third day he will get new one. If the guest want more towels then he get (one big and one small) he can get it but with extra payment. Unfortunately You didnt understand me...All the best

Amazing and welcoming hotel right in Old Town
Can’t recommend this place enough! What an amazing find! You’ll be right in the upper city itself- with the best breakfast place in Zagreb right around the corner(with a view of it too!). Not to mention the incredible host we had, Irena, who welcomed us so warmly and excitedly about Zagreb!! We fell in love with Zagreb mostly due to her enthusiasm about her own city and all her recommendations. She pretty much built up our whole itinerary for the day. They also upgraded our room. Not sure what the first room was supposed to be, but the room we had was very tastefully decorated and had all the amenities you might need. Bowls, plates, cutleries! Loved our stay incredibly.

Dear guest, even You give us this review anonymously, we know who You are - we are small family private accommodation and we spike with all our guests... You were not satisfied with "time of reply" on Your e-mails - You were sending us messages after 10pm that You can not find the remote control of A/C, then that You find it, that it´s noisy when Your wind is open - totally logical because we are in the center of the city..then You ask us that we wash one pair of jeans for You - we don´t provide this kind of service..then You send message that You didn´t have enough hot water - our water tank is for 4 persons and there was 2 of You so there was enough water, or did You wash Your clothes? You didn´t allow us to get in to the room to check do You need anything, You just came to us to change towels and You told us that everything was fine...I will not comment Your comment for our bathroom... So..by my experience in this job, You were dissatisfied from the beginning with everything at our place and I know it that You will give review like this. I recommended You, in the future, that You sleep only in big hotels! All the best

Wonderful, large clean room with plenty of hot water, good shower, fridge, A/C, and electric kettle. Excellent location on a pedestrian-only street with lots of shops & restaurants, a couple minute walk to the main Ban Jelacic Square. Backside of room looks out over a restaurant row type of street with plenty of dining options available. Highly recommended. The host provided restaurant recommendations & assistance with a taxi needed for our return to the Zagreb airport.

Rooms were uniquely decorated - original, colorful! Perfect location for walking to everything - square, cathedrals, restaurants. Our room had a view of Tkalciceva street which we loved. Could open the windows for view, sounds, breeze. Room was good for 3 (parents and college-age daughter). Zagreb 17 arranged taxi transport to/from airport since cars can't access the street hotel is on.
