Should not charge a cleaning fee
The location of this property is perfect and the views are amazing. We chose to stay here despite the reviews of the house needing some TLC. I understand that things are outdated but their is no excuse for it to be dirty. Two of the three toilets were absolutely disgusting. My friends had to scrub them down. The comforter on the master bedroom was also dirty and had stains on the top right hand side. The bottom bunk bed is broken and my sister had an awful night trying to sleep on it. We also brought food to cook in the oven and that was gross and also needed to be cleaned before using. The grill outside was broken and filthy. We had to remove cobwebs from the whole outside grill area and the jacuzzi was full of dead flying red ants and actual dirt. We tried to remove as much as we could with the pool net but that poor old net needs to be replaced. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool as much either because it was just too cold. I wish they would at least give you the option to have it heated for a fee. I will say one of the most stressful things was to make sure we took all of our trash with us. What is the cleaning fee for? We tried to make the most of our weekend but honestly it was a huge bummer that the pool was just too cold to be in. We actually washed all the towels, made all the beds and left that place cleaner then when we got there.

Our stay was amazing! The host was very welcoming and amazing views all around. The location wasn’t far away from the town. The only thing is the jacuzzi didn’t work but overall amazing time.

Beautiful views, unclean space
I booked this location for my bachelorette trip with friends in July 2022. I saw the reviews and was weary, but figured we could handle it. The pool and views simply cannot be beat. The patio is spacious and has a nice sound and light system. This alone made it all worth it. That being said, we did encounter: multiple mice indoors and in the outdoor grill space (who were very unafraid), lots of cockroaches, an ant infestation due to lack of cleaning up food from a previous guest, a black widow guarding the hot tub, and a small dead snake in the hot tub. I know it's the desert and there will be "wildlife" but it felt more like a lack of caring for the space by the owner. Finally, please note that trash must be taken out and the site that is suggested is relatively far away and closed on Sunday - at least it was the weekend we were there. So we had to pack it back in the trunk after driving it out to the disposal site. I hope some of these issues have been resolved since my stay as it was a truly beautiful location. Still, I would not risk booking again.

4 Fun Filled Packed Days
It’s the perfect house for a couple and a group of kids. I only bummer was the pool was not heated 😩. The kids made due regardless but I was looking forward to using the pool myself. It seems like a party house that has been used and abused so we didn’t feel nervous about all 8 kids we had. The damage from previous guest can’t be unnoticed. The location for Joshua Tree and Palm Springs was perfect. The sunrise / sunset views from the house were phenomenal. We had a fantastic time and will stay here again soon.

Great property - Wonderful host
Consistent with other reviews...yes, some things about this property could use an update. The furniture and appliances are well used. But overall, it was the perfect stay for our family! This house had everything we needed. The beds were clean. The kids had fun in the yard, and playing foos ball. The views were spectacular! The host, Daniel, was wonderful to work with. He was available for a phone call during our visit, and his cleaning crew found a ring left behind by my sister in law and is working to have it returned to us. We are so grateful for such a fabulous time spent together with family under one roof. The one unexpected down side...the address given to haul away our trash is 3o mins away and cost an additional fee ($14) to drop our trash there. That should be noted in the booking info.

Top of the hill vacation home!
My family and I really enjoyed the stay at this beautiful vacation property, the view is amazing even more at night, the spacious interior and 3 bathrooms a plus. The jacuzzi was very relaxing, even going up the driveway felt exiting. The property does need some TLC, but we get the wear and tear throughout the years. My family and I created great memories in this home and will want return next year. Thank you Daniel, you were very helpful.

Amazing price!
Myself and 12 of my colleagues came here for a retreat for our non profit organization, and it was amazing! The host was always quick to respond if we needed any assistance, and the location is beautiful. We had a great time grilling burgers and hanging out by the pool/hot tub. This is an amazing place to stay for the price!

Me and my family really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi those were our favorite spots. Inside the fridge was not working well One of the showers was clogged Microwave was really really stinky i have to clean it in order to used it, Bunkbed really old an squeaky . Grill not working I dont understand why do they charged too much for cleaning if they dont clean good, well patio is the best part of this house.. Just want to make sure that owner knows that they're not cleaning his property good Hopefully owner can make some changes so we can truly enjoy the stay in every space of the house

Beautiful home great master bedroom beautiful pool n scenic view.BUT! room with bunk beds & restroom got infested with fire ants and was a big inconvenience..also 1 of beds was a waste of space could not be slept on to squeaky..some appliances dont work need to be tossed. Pool n jucuzzi work great..area in jacuzzi does get real dark at night.Air works good in rooms but kitchen and living take awhile to cool.. We Did NOT experience any roaches or rodents. In all it is a great place just needs TLC..

Staycation
Being a local we were looking for a staycation home for the weekend. The reviews were absolutely correct the yard is simply amazing and the VIEW oh my gosh just beautiful.we enjoyed the pool and pool table, ping pong etc. and all things outside The indoor/outdoor stereo was great once we figured out how to work it. The home has a great layout but it’s clear the most basic maintenance is not happening. The home is filled with clutter of fake plants which are caked with dust. The home has Ceiling fans all over the home and the only ones that worked with out shaking were in the rooms. And being charged for cleaning is wild—— I arrived to the home with it being messy (food left on table toilets not cleaned blood on the wall and more) we left it cleaner then arrival. House keeping needs to be changed kitchen walls are sticky everything is dusty with spiders webs on curtains and mouse droppings all over the home. I did reach out to the manger about it and they offered to send the cleaner back I passed cause clearly it’s not being done regularly. The reviews did say the home was messy so we were expecting some things. But if minor cleaning and maintenance don’t happen I can’t foresee wanting to return no matter how amazing the yard is.

Great View, Pool, Jacuzzi, Table Games But Inside Needs to be Cleaner and Updated
Great view, pool (too bad the slide was not working), great jacuzzi, great table games. Also love that it’s very secluded…private…high up in the hills. Owner and/or property manager need to conduct a visit, if they haven’t done it lately. Some examples that require attention…one of the bathtubs is clogged, outside back bathroom has a sewer smell…most likely the outside drainage, pillows are all stained, most of the mattresses are worn out. There’s also an unwanted guest that we saw in the middle of the night and when I mentioned it to management, response was far from being customer-oriented and no words of concern for our safety. Hopefully, they’ve taken action after we checked out.

I was very scared at first because of all the reviews! It’s actually better than the picture, it’s very spacious, most important thing is that everyone love it!! It was good enough for us and for the price we paid!! Jacuzzi was perfect View was so beautiful Furnitures are pretty good Kitchens had everything we needed! Trash - we didn’t follow the instructions given but found trash bins near by! The only thing we’re some lights weren’t working or out. The lights for the hills as we’re driving up/down. The dinning are were out, but we didn’t need to use that area anyways! Plenty of room to eat! The spa/pool area were pretty dark because of no lights, but it was so beautiful you see the city lights and the stars!! I would return to book my next stay here again! Can’t wait to return!!

Lots of privacy
This was a beautiful house with lots of privacy from neighbors. Our group of 15 was very comfortable with family members of all ages. Our early check in request was granted and we were so thankful for that. But it was in need of some tlc. The furniture was very dated and the cleaning crew needs to do a better job. The cleaning fee we pay should include leaving the trash there and not having to haul it away ourselves. It was very inconvenient because we had to go the opposite direction and way out of our way home to drop it off.

Clearly a Party House
I have stayed in many large houses with groups, almost all of which advertise no parties. This house does not say no parties and after staying here I can tell this is the type of clientele that stay here. The reviews of the dirtiness are relatively accurate in that I can tell some major ragers have been held in this house. The maintenance of the house is not good, but the bathrooms, kitchen, and sheets all felt clean. So it’s cleaned by a cleaning crew but the walls and furniture are in bad shape. The beds are no comfortable. But the pool and hot tub and view and secluded nature were great.

It was a nice, good place to be
The experience was nice, I’m sorry for the people that have had issue with rodents and roaches, we didn’t see ONE! Not one, the house was clean. No animals crawling or anything, and we were there for 3 days. The pillow and blanket closet should be more organized and not all on the floor, but we manage to use the things. Furniture is old, but it is good to use, I has no problems. It is a vacation house so probably it is why it’s not that upgraded. We had Fun, it is perfect because it has no neighbors, the view is amazing and the security for the house is great. What we didn’t like? Well the hot tub never heated, and the pool has no heater and for that weather and the amount paid, even Pago g more for extra people and all, we didn’t get to use or enjoy the hot tub or pool because it was extremely cold. The hockey air machine works, but we had no implements to play with. So I will give a 4* to it because and only because of the pool heater and hot tub. That place with a pool heater and hot tub working to 104• would be the perfect paradise. Thank you so much for helping us and giving us a great weekend!! If those things get worked on we will definitely be back! FERNANDA MOON.

Wrong description
I really wanted to leave a better review because the host was very good at responding to all of our questions before the trip. Unfortunately, when we arrived the kitchen seemed a little dirty and there were egg shells in the garbage disposal. The fixtures/ decorations were also very dusty. The rooms were okay, the master is very big. The trash situation is definitely a hassle. I would not recommend staying here for this reason. When we went to the only location that was open on Sundays to throw the trash away, they told us that we couldn't unless we had an ID that said we lived in the county. We ended up having to take our trash bags with us and throwing them away at home. He did offer to let us pay$15 per bag to leave them at the house but it would have been too expensive. The pool water is also very cold but we knew there was no pool heater when we rented. I guess we hoped that it wouldn't be too cold but it was. Definitely not for families with small children.

Weekend getaway
This house has potential. The location, views, outdoor fireplace, pool and Jacuzzi were the best part. Cleanliness in general leaves a lot to be desired and a lot of things don’t work. We made the best of our stay and had a great time but I probably would look elsewhere next time. I would suggest to the owners that a deeper cleaning is needed. Cleaning stains off doors, some walls and the removal spider webs, leftover food/condiments, stained cushions, outdated unnecessary decorations and non-functional kitchen appliances would help.

Sad neglected house
The house is beautiful with tons of potential but needs a good deep cleaning ... I arrived 2 hrs early and appreciated the early check in that allowed me to do some cleaning before my guests arrived cause it was really needed . Furniture very out dated and needs to be replaced and be ready for the ROACHES lots of roaches ...needs to be fumigated.! Beds not comfortable new mattresses needed bed spreads old and not freshly washed ...we just stripped the beds and used our own bedding .. Hot days but a lot of wind that high up ..pool was clean but very cold. The view was amazing . Big house with lots of room could be an amazing property with just some TLC and attention. check in was easy but didn't get the details till the last minute . Overall disappointing but we made the best of it . Wont be returning the roaches were a deal breaker

Nothing worked. The spa didn’t heat up, the house alarm kept going off randomly and we had no way to turn it off. The AC in the front of the house didn’t work. All the beds felt like cardboard. There were bugs in the house. It was overall just a bad house. Views from the pool were nice but that was about it.

Great view and stress free
We had a great stay…love the location being at the top of a mountain with no neighbors. We grilled lobsters and steaks and ventured over to the Palm Springs cable car. Having to take out your own garbage is a little annoying…and the AC should be turned on before the guest arrives, it was like 114 degrees outside and on arrival it was so so hot in the house. AC took awhile to kick on but ended up cooling down great. A cool house/vibe all around!

The Hills of Palm Spring !!!
We got the best spot to watch July 4 fireworks while chilling in the pool in the heat of summer. Very nice house with scenic views. Some of the games are broken. Other than that, we had lots of fun staying here.

Pleasantly surprised
Was definitely scared after reading the reviews but we were surprised to find it wasn’t as bad as we thought it was going to be. If he painted and got some new furniture he could easily rent this out for more. The beds weren’t comfortable and the jacuzzi had issues working (we finally got it to work after troubleshooting and then it stopped working again so we gave up) the view was amazing and we liked having the privacy so we were able to be loud and party. Having to take our trash elsewhere was absolutely an inconvenience and the worst thing about this property. Not what you want to do while on vacation. (Plus it takes easily a 45 minute process to do and takes away from the checkout process to clean up)

Worth the inconvenience?
I'll keep this short and simple.. the view is amazing and property cleanliness is ok. Trying to get a hold of the owner is very difficult which makes it very inconvenient. A/C works great for only half the property, so be sure to turn on ceiling fans. If you're here over the weekend, land fill is closed SUNDAYS! Good luck finding a dumpster! It is very inconvenient to pay this much money and have to literally have take your trash bags to the land fill several miles away. The view is phenomenal! But not worth the inconvenience.

Dirty, not up to Par
The pool was very nice. There was no manual as to how to use TV, Stove (wouldn't turn on), Over all house was dirty, carpet was dirty, furniture was dusty, bathroom and showers were dirty (hair in shower). Then you have to take your trash to the nearest waste location which is not close to the house and we checked out on Sunday, however we tried to take the trash Saturday and it was closed and not open on Sundays. All that she be detailed when renting the house because we made a 10 mile trip to dispose of the trash and it was closed. Where do you dump your trash if you check out on Sundays. That cost should be included in the rental. The air hockey machine did not have pushers, the ping pong table had old paddles that you can't even use. We had to go buy paddles for the ping pong table. The cost of the rental was pricey for what you get. I feel that they made it looked really good but half the things in the house were not operable. Will never stay here again.

RATS + COCKROACHES WITH A GREAT VIEW
Be warned!! This property is filthy. I reached out to the property manager a few months ago after seeing the reviews on cleanliness to ensure that the property was being properly cleaned (especially in Covid times) to which they assured me they were. This was not the case. We had visits from MULTIPLE RATS (one that was living in the grill) and cockroaches galore. The walls have stains and holes, previous guests have left little drawings on walls and left their (now moldy) food behind, and to pull it all together, you have to drive 20 minutes away to dump your trash. The furniture is decorated with mystery stains as well, and the carpet is crusty and unsanitary. I wish this wasn't the case as the pool was incredible and the view was to die for. Being on top of your own little hilltop is such a dream, especially if you're like my friends and I and want to play music while soaking in the sun. If they could invest in a REAL cleaning team and throw out every piece of furniture, this place would be perfect.

So Dirty-Not worth the money
This place is SO dirty. I read the reviews before booking this place and I think far too many people rated this house higher than it should be. The best things about this place are the location and the fact that the jacuzzi worked. Other than that, the place is filthy with stains on the walls, bedding, & couch crumbs. The BBQ didn't work after trying to cook a tri tip for 2 hours. The beds are hard as a rock. The dishwasher literally falls out of the cabinet when opening it and there is a huge white sign where the microwave is that just says "sorry." This house honestly should not be able to be listed. I am pretty tolerant of rental properties, especially when we had a bigger group, but this is the first house that was so underwhelming we almost left. Another thing they don't mention is that YOU have to take the trash out to a place that is 20 minutes away OR illegally throw it away in the town. This was a ridiculous thing to ask of a guest. Do not stay here unless you are okay staying in filth--mind you this is during COVID and I did not feel the house was cleaned before we got there.

Not clean!!!
The rental is big and location is good but couldn’t get pass how dirty it was. Stains on bedding, sofas, walls, and floor. It didn’t seem like it had been cleaned at all, there were candies behind the couch all on the ground, alcohol cans and costume vampire fangs. Also a lot of things were falling apart in the house. I would not rent this place again!

Not Worth it for the price
NOT! Worth it for the price!!! Sad because this house is super nice and pool is great. The furniture in the house is very old like from my grandmothers days! They really need to replace the furniture. As soon as I walked into the house I felt very disappointed! False advertisement I walked the house with Clorox and started to just clean. The refrigerator was so nasty and it didn’t even work! I had to place towels in all the couches because I was not going to let my kids sit on them stains all over. I even had to removed all the sitting pillows because of how bad they are. The coffee machine was burned why don’t they just remove it. And truest when I say Don’t sleep in the beds. The Master shower had no water pressure at all drip of water if your lucky. The BBQ OMG didn’t really work and we had to clean it for about 1 hour, as soon as we turned it on a rat came out ugh I guess for them it’s called a kangaroo rat same difference. The jacuzzi had no lights we had to drive to the store and purchase lights, we spend all day and night out in the pool/jacuzzi maybe cleanest place in the house. The owner needs to replace everything in that house inside furniture and pool furniture. House needs a lot of work done. I have a feeling this person is relying on someone to watch over the house and take good care of it and if he is fire them ASAP.

Amazing pool and view
The million dollar view and pool made the hot summer days and nights worth the trip to the area. The property is huge and fit my friends and I comfortably. The inside is a little dated but it did it’s job. A couple of the beds could have been a little more comfortable. All in all my friends had an amazing time. I’ve actually gotten many inquiries on the property when we stayed there and of course I highly recommended it to everyone. Definitely would consider staying here again! Thanks Danny and company!

My friends and I had an amazing time staying at this house! The views are absolutely awesome! We listened to music and watched the sunrise. It was everything I wanted. We never did figure out why the hot tub didn't work but even that would not stop me from coming back to this house. So fun!

Great Location but horrible ant problem
After I made my booking, someone else made a comment about the ants but I assume the problem would have been resolved before my stay. However, it was not. Did not matter if we stored all our food, the cold weather drove all the ants in the house. We are not talking hundreds but thousands of ants. It was so bad that I went out and bought ant traps so that they would stop coming in. Very disappointing.

BEWARE!
This property is DIRTY! I can handle wear and tear, but this one was bad. Dust everywhere; marks on all the walls, light switches filthy, water stains on ceiling of bedroom and let's not forget about the ants. I woke up the 2nd morning and there were ants all over my suitcase and clothes (NO I did not have any food in my suitcase!) I could go on and on. There were no cleaning supplies, so we had to purchase our own. Tile floor by the bar is cracked and moves up and down when you walk on it. Everything outside was dirty and dusty. Outside of property not taken care of, palm tree branches are half dead. It's too bad, because the location is great if you want to visit Joshua Tree National Park.

Disappointing
Overall our stay was pretty disappointing. PROs: 1. Large house - great for families 2. Beautiful view CONs: 1. Pool heater didn't work - it said in the rental agreement there was an option to heat the pool but when we reached out we were told there wasn't a heater. To us the pool was the main attraction for the house, when the water temp is 50 degrees its unusable. 2. Hot tub didn't get hot - more like a warm tub but still better than the pool 3. Ants - within a few hours of being in the house there were ants all over unopened packages of bread and even in our baby's formula container (when we reached out after the fact we were told this was due to us leaving food out unopened, although that wasn' t the case and it was ultimately our fault) Overall, if you're looking for a house with a usable pool this isn't it unless you're staying during summer months.

Amazing house, Amazing weekend!
The house is beautiful and the backyard is gorgeous. Danny was there when we needed him. I am planning on doing it again next year. Book it, you will not be disappointed.

Mixed. Beautiful location, dated accommodations
Tricky writing a review for this. On the one hand, overall we had a great experience. We were lucky that we had a group that was very lenient about certain aspects of the property. I can imagine that might not be the case with others though. First, the pros: The owner was very helpful over the phone and helped us get everything about the rental arranged properly. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The pool and hot tub were nice and a lot of fun. The size of the house is slightly bigger than we imagined from the listing. It was great not having to worry about neighbors. Tons of towels, which was surprisingly helpful and nice. Lots of seating options. The cons: the interior design of the place is almost comically dated. It felt like a total time-warp to the late 80s/early 90s. This was kind of charming to us, but know that it if classiness and chic is what you're going for.... this is not that place. A lot of aspects of the house were pretty shabby. Some things were pretty worn down, there were dark smudges all over walls in every room (the whole place could use a paint job), patio furniture was dirty, pictures were all hanging slanted, things were out of place, some trash was still left from the previous renters, etc. All electronics are very dated. We basically had to reset the whole soundsystem ourselves because either the prior renters or some workers totally rewired speakers (our group was pretty tech savvy). The TV works but is dated. The plates on the internal thermostats kept falling off. The BBQ area required a bit of our own cleanup job prior to use. The garage had random broken things sitting inside. Basically, our entire group went to work sprucing up the whole house when we first arrived. After that it was great, but it was a kind of bummer to arrive to that. Couple random small things to note: there was no wine opener, the master closet is so large it can basically sleep two people on a full air mattress, there were no ping pong balls for the ping pong table (we didn't try the air hockey table). Summary: We had a great time! It was so great just being in that spot. The accommodations could use a big facelift and things could be cleaned up a little more.

A beautiful, quiet, scenery-type getaway. Lots of space. Bring sunscreen and bug repellent!
It started out as a dream. Didn't realiz e the pool was an infinity pool or a game room in the garage! It overlooked miles of desert. The speakers were awesome because it played outside too! There were a few incidents such as sleeping and waking up itchy from ants all over my bed in the master suite. There was no food to be eaten in the rooms so it confused me why they were in my bed. (Ant/bug repellent needs to be sprayed by doors/windows to decrease the amount of bugs). Kind of a bummer but the comfy couch in the living room made up for it for a movie night with the family. We didn't have time to clean our dishes before checking out so the dishwasher came in handy. Although, the dishwasher almost fell out of its station; wasn't properly put in. Plenty of pillows/blankets/towels/floaties for pool). The bar in the living room has a step that needs a yellow caution strip because each one of us that went behind the bar, fell on that single step! Not too much of a big deal but it'd be nice not to trip on it. There was coffee in the cabinet, much appreciated! I would definitely reccommend staying here beside the minor problems. It felt like home.

This location is perfect for a wedding in Pioneer Town and visiting Joshua Tree National Park
The property is as described. It needs some TLC. Before renting insure that the air conditioner in the kitchen/ family area is working. It was not for us, but the weather was not too hot. The blinds in the master bath do not work so be careful as the pool looks into the master. We really enjoyed the property. The pool was too cool to use but the hot tub was great once we figured out the system. The fans in the kitchen and family room don't work so the air conditioning is a must in warm weather. Beds were good and the washer and dryer were fine. We didn't use the sound or television. We were six adults and four kids. There are some game tables in the garage but we didn't use them. There are plenty of towels. My wife thought the placed had been cleaned by bachelor farmers. Needs some deep cleaning. We would rent again if a couple of the above items were repaired. Great views! Very private, no neighbors.

Rats!
Loved the backyard. It was beautiful and perfect. We did call about wanting to use the heater for the pool, as stated in our contract it says we’ll get charged if we do want to use it which we were ok with, however when we called to get the code we were told two different answers, “ We are not allowed to give you the code”, and “There is no pool heater”. Within 10 minutes of walking into the house and settling in we found mice in the bedroom along with food/drinks left from previous renters that were rotting in the drawers. The grill was infested with rats and rat droppings so we did not use the grill outside. Also, the refrigerator and freezer was not working properly so the meat that we brought to cook had gone bad. Overall very dirty and unkept house. We called the number that was provided, and we told the owner of our issues and he didn’t really seem to care. Honestly the backyard was the only thing that was keeping our spirits up.

Beautiful location, falling apart at the seams.
We had a great time staying in Yucca Valley. With that said this property and the home is falling apart at the seams. Doors were falling off the hinges, dishwasher was falling out of the wall, shower drains were clogged with hair, dust collecting above the stove could be measured in cementers, BBQ and outdoor lights didn't work, etc. Property manager was responsive but place is neglected and has seen better days.
