"Waited quite awhile for the parking barrier to be lifted to allow access to the parking. There were a number of steps up to the entrance of the hotel. Difficult with heavy cases. Room was a good size, however the shower head was in need of a descale and the drainage in the bath needed to be looked at. In the mini bar there was an open bottle of tonic. On the whole the staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was great, but the evening meal was a bit of a let down. The shuttle bus was a godsend! What real spoiled the holiday was that the jacuzzi wasn’t working!"

"We were pleasantly surprised of the size of the property, we had everything we needed for our stay! Torcross is a lovely, quaint village, this was our first visit and not likely to be our last. Just one warning for future visitors, there is no shop, just a pub and cafe, both provided lovely food! Make sure to visit the nearby farm shop and garden centre for a pizza!"

"A large property in a beautiful location with enough bedroom space for 9 people with smaller family members in the bunk bed. Anybody with physical disabilities will find the many steps down to the beach difficult but perfect for a family with teenagers. Pros - The views are sensational and it is in a quiet, peaceful area. A fantastic garden with lots of space for dining, games and sunbathing (although no sun loungers) and good ability to keep on top of washing in utility room. Very short distance to the local beautiful beaches. A good beach cafe, farm shop and cafe and toilets close by. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking implements, we were glad we bought a huge saucepan to be able to cook for 9. A large fridge freezer was also very welcome. The kids loved the quirky layout of the house. This was a good family holiday with lots of beach fun with doggy in tow. Would highly recommend a trip to the pebble beach in Beesands and a meal at the cricket Inn. No smart TV was actually a good thing here and kept teenagers off devices.Cons - The property wasn’t particularly clean on arrival, dirty mugs under bed, a large amount of cobwebs and floors with lots of sand on. There were not enough instructions for appliances e.g. downstairs shower (has a booster in the kitchen cupboard) and the induction hob had to be googled. There were a few things that were not working quite correctly, the dishwasher doesn’t sit properly within the kitchen unit, the cooker door is unreliable an"

"Cote barn is a fantastic place to holiday, in a lovely village. Frogmore is small but beautiful with lots of fabulous beaches on hand. The house is set rurally at the top of a track but still walkable to the pub! It’s a very easy drive to the shops to stock up and to all the sights and beaches. Plenty of lovely places to eat close by, we would recommend the Bear and Blacksmith pub, absolutely amazing food and just 5 minutes drive. This is our second visit, this time with just one teen who loved the downstairs space to himself with his own bathrooms! Sally is an excellent host, always had excellent communication and fast response to queries. We had fabulous weather, so out at a beach most days, however the house is set up with tv, books, jigsaws etc… for rainier days. We love the south hams and love cote barn!"

"We had an amazing week at Scoble the views and interior design of the cottage are just stunning. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible - it’s the ideal spot to access Southpool and the Millbrook arms too. The combination of the isolation and tranquillity and also the ability to access Salcombe via the ferry is perfect."

"We loved our stay at 10 At The Beach and didn’t want to leave at the end of our vacation. Lovely views of the sea and lake from the lounge bay window. Good pub , farm shop and cafe very close by. Comfortable beds. Plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. I had a couple of negatives: it was very hot weather and you could do with a fan in each bedroom. The fridge is small and there is no cupboard space to store any provisions you may bring with you, internet isn’t great but better on the beach! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend."
