The place has great character; a mix of old world inn and holiday resort. Quiet and a great view of the valley.
It looks like many upgrades are in progress.
Ask for one of the renovated valley-side rooms.

The property was nice … the front desk girl could of been a lot friendlier seemed we were bothered by her as well as the restaraunt staff at first but got better as our visit went on. Room facing the parking lot meh .

the staff was incredible, food was excellent.
the sofa bed in the room was completely worn out and the in room coffee maker wouldnt work (this may be operator error)

Staff are very nice. Pool was large and lovely to swim in and sauna was great.
Downside: Noise in halls is unfortunate- sounds like a herd of elephants at times.

The property is right off the main highway. Close to Wolfville and New Minas. There is food available. Lots of parking. The rooms are well equipped. Lots of activities to do on the property. The Inn is currenty getting a great face-lift. Definitely a great pick in the area.

Stay was great, lovely clean room and great service. Only issue was waking up very early due to garbage being thrown into dump. Other than that, great stay.

Knew about property issues. Was told about construction happening between 4-6 am no problem. Around 4pm i thought someone was drilling into my room on the brick side?

Yes we are currently renovating our 1st floor rooms and there is a portion of the renovation that require drilling through brick wall and concrete which can actually be felt on the 2nd floor as well. I do apologize for the disruption around 4pm however we found that conducting the renovations during normal business hours tends to be the least disruptive. Property is deceiving from the outside but has real inn charm once you are inside. We enjoyed the live music at dinner. Also the spa services are great.

I was told there would be a hot tub there was not, i asked the front desk to bring two spoons to my room and they refused. The room beside us noisy until the late hours in the night.

We do apologize for the noise and once we received your complaint our staff went immediately to the other room and was able to get them to quiet down as we didn't receive another complaint once we addressed the issue. Again we apologize for the experience you had during your stay and appreciate the feedback.
Such a great place to stay! The entire staff went above and beyond and the view and restaurant were fantastic. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area and looks like a great place for events as well.

The staff were great and the food was as well. Unfortunately the entire hotel is severely outdated and prices are out of whack for the actual condition of the place. In my opinion we overpaid and will likely never return if renovations don't happen.

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your review. I am pleased to inform you that we have 11 newly renovated rooms almost complete that are set to be available in early January 2024. Also, the next section on our 1st floor of room renovations started December 11th in hopes that the entire first floor rooms will be renovated by mid-spring of 2024 with the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms scheduled to be renovated winter of 2024 & 2025. My stay at the old orchard inn was amazing. The food is great, friendly welcoming staff and a large pool and sauna in the middle of winter we're a nice touch. I highly recommend staying here when on business in the valley. The resort was hosting a large Christmas Party which is great to see. Highly recommend..

The staff were polite, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. But the hotel itself is very tired looking, and I feel like the price point is very high for the standard of hotel. However there really wasn’t anything wrong with the hotel.
