"A convenient location for visitnf friend in the area, delicious and varied breakfast options, friendly and helpful staff. Many thanks, Jane &the Team!"
"Quiet area, nice owners and bar staff. A nice rustic countryside feel. Some wear and tear around the property and in the basic bedroom, could use some love (springy mattress). Not any shops nearby but plenty of pubs. Water in the room would have been good. "
"Lovely pub in a serene setting, with one of the most attractive beer gardens I've visited. Room was neally nice, as was the food. I really couldn't fault it."

"Nice hotel, very comfortable and nice rooms, spa could use updating, pool etc is grubby, restaurant and food was lovely, menu could use a few more veggie options but what we had was lovely, staff great too.. overall a lovely stay.. "
"Very friendly, helpful staff. The room was really clean and the beds were comfy. We ate in the restaurant and again the staff were very friendly. Good choice and great service. "
"All I needed was a single bed with a shower, WC and basin. That I got - for under £50. Remarkably good value for Berkshire. It was all very easy, the areas nice, and the man who greeted me and said goodbye was very friendly and obliging. I'll certainly come back when I'm next in the area "
"I've stayed here a couple of times and have a few more bookings coming up, so it must be decent! My standard apartment was very sizeable, lots of space, good kitchen utensils, and pretty clean. Parking is a pain as you have to pre-book but as long as you do that it's all fine, the communication from the management company is fine. The building is not staffed but I've never had any issues. There is a gym as part of the building, if you stay on the other side you don't hear it, but the car park has lots of cars coming and going, late into the evening, with the usual types blaring out loud music on their way in/out. But that's no fault of the apartment. The only thing I don't like is that there are no curtains on the windows, just old blinds that barely keep any light out. So in summer, at 4am you'll be blinded with light. Thankfully I am an engineer, I figure it out, I wedge some big sofa cushions and bed pillows in to block out most of the light. But, in this day and age, to not have curtains in a bedroom is bizarre to me. There is no A/C either, but ventilation is decent and there is a fan there. All in all I can tolerate the curtains as I have my own means to block them out, I like the space, and I am a gym-goer and the gym there is my chain that I use, so for me it's extremely convenient. 5 minute walk to Morrisons through the underpass, 10 minutes into town and the station. Located on a busy roundabout, so bring ear plugs!"
"Great place to stay, nice walks nearby. Hotel looks newly freshened up. Great decor and style. Staff are lovely. Could do with a mirror also in the bedroom as once you have had a shower the one in the bathroom takes a while for the steam to go. Also if your partner is in there you can't get ready to you can use the bathroom mirror.
