"The property was much smaller than expected and we were disappointed by the quality of furnishings and equipment some of which were old (floor coverings and kitchen utensils) and unacceptable in our view. We felt the photographs had been staged and larger groups would have struggled to have had a comfortable experience. "Wasn’t aware until shortly before our visit that we’d booked during the Appleby Horse Fair so following a Police advisory, they weren’t selling alcohol. Which was a shame as I like to drink local brewery beer when away, but we were allowed to bring our own bottles. In all other respects, our stay was amazing!"
