"The picture you show was the owners 1st property and we could not access the property with my elderly family. When I called the owner, he offered me a second option of another property. That is the property I rated. It was very kind of the owner to accomodate us. It was a lit more driving than we intended but the accommodstions were much better for us."

"The location of King’s Kastle on Salmon Lake is excellent. The lake is wide at that point and offers great views of the sunrise, particularly from the upstairs master bedroom suite. The lake has less development than others where we have stayed in Maine. We enjoyed seeing loons, eagles, and osprey which are abundant. "This cottage was so immaculate and beautifully decorated. The owner thought of everything a guest may need and supplies were plentiful. It looks brand new and is cozy and comfortable. We loved staying here as it was close to Augusta and Gardiner. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. I highly recommend this property!"

"The almost permanent view of the lake was magnificent. Since the lake is west of the property, the sunsets are also wonderful. I even took one of the kayaks out to the Lighthouse. Even though it looks far away but it only took about 10 minutes of easy paddling. Great place for a peaceful vacation. Bar Harbour was close enough for quick day trip and then the Loop at Acadia Nat'l Park provided great panoramic views."

"Property was as expected. No frills just a small cabin, clean and has everything one would need. Landscaping and some updates needed but not required. A little more “rustic” than I thought but overall it was a good stay."

"Great stay! Clean and new. Mattresses are fantastic we all slept very well. A little out of the way from any big neighboring towns but the area gave great views of the stars since it was so dark and the morning sunrise was astounding amongst the view of the mountains."

"We had an amazing stay at the property. It was stocked well with all of the essentials that make a rental house easy to enjoy. (Spices, oil, sugar, ziploc bags, extra toothbrushes, wireless speaker, etc.) We brought our 19’ bass boat and caught a few dozen smallmouth and largemouth bass around the pond. Swimming was easy and fun, with brownie points for the steps with handrail that led down into the water. We saw so many loon families and enjoyed their calls. Thank you for a great visit!"

"Myself and 4 friends booked this home on the water for an annual super bowl ice fishing trip. The house was just as described, spacious and comfortable. The pond is beautiful and the fishing was outstanding, we caught fish all day long. Location is good as well, with plenty of restaurants and downtown Augusta within 10 to 15 minutes. Great home for the price."

"The house and surrounding were very nice. Exactly as described and had some nice touches left by the management company- extra soap, laundry pods, doggie poop bags. The only concerns were that the keypad on the door was temperamental and didn’t work our entire visit (thankfully there was a key in a lockbox so we could get inside when it was cold and raining) and there were several dishes put away dirty.
