We had a lovely relaxing night , the food was delicious and I accidentally left my phone charger and they rang me and I have received it back by post . Views from the dining room are over the lake and there is a great patio and garden for warmer weather . Highly recommended.
Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good.
Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD
We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner.
Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous.
Wouldn’t stay here again .
Beautiful setting and grounds. You had a wonderful view of lake. Close to Bowness so you could walk into town. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Highly recommend staying here!!
We had a lovely three-day stay. Comfortable beds, super clean, attentive staff. Excellent location. Outstanding cuisine, including for the vegan in our family.
The Rybeck is in a nice quiet location we booked a ground floor room with a patio (at extra cost) the room was clean and comfortable bathroom
was small but adequate no bath only a shower . which we prefer. With regard to the food we booked half board but would not do so again as the a la carte menu was not as good as it sounded and I certainly would not have paid the prices had we not had the half board option. Breakfast had all the usual items but we did have one complaint when my wife was served scrambled egg which was cold (we heard another guest with the same complaint) not acceptable for a hotel which boasts about the chef. Another complaint was on our last day at 0930 there were no croissants left and when we asked the answer was they will be ready in 20 minutes. So to end although the hotel was nice including the staff I do not think regarding the above that we would return.

Slightly disappointed due to the cottage
The main house is beautiful but we were put in a ground floor cottage away from the main building so really didn’t get the hotel experience we would of liked and booked - the decor was tired and needs upgrading. The staff however are lovely. Would I stay again? I’m torn as the location and staff were lovely but we didn’t actually stay in the hotel we booked, we were in a small cottage room that was tired and unexpected! the price was over £200 for 1 night and being regulars to the area there are other hotels much better standard of rooms for the price. A shame we didn’t get to stay in the main house - the reason we actually booked from the pictures!
Hotel was lovely, food amazing, staff very friendly . If you are night owls this is not the hotel for you. We arrived back from the Bowness-On-Windermere only to be locked out at 10:45pm and the bar was all locked up so no night cap.
Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings. Quite small room and small bed for a big price but comparable to others in the Lakes. Service could be improved. When we left there was no goodbye or thank you. I think they were busy preparing for a wedding.
The hotel is in a great location and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was on the top floor so we had great views of the lake. The room and bathroom were clean - just a shame about the wasp nest which must have been above the bathroom as we found quite a few each morning. However they were aware of the situation and were dealing with it. Being a smaller hotel, breakfast was cooked to order which I much prefer and the choice was excellent. There was also fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt. We ate dinner on our last night in the restaurant and I can thoroughly recommend it. The restaurant overlooks the views of Lake Windermere and the gardens. The meal was beautifully presented and delicious! My husband had the 3 course set menu and I had a la carte. The only thing that marred our experience that evening was a couple with a small baby who was obviously very tired and kept up too late. He was banging his rattle on the highchair and throwing his food all over the place whilst they just sat there and drank their wine! Just a shame they didn't eat earlier (this was 8.00 pm) and finish before the other couples sat down as we all would have preferred a quiet evening meal!
The gardens outside are well kept and have some beautiful shrubs. The hotel is situated about 5 or 6 minutes drive from Bowness on Windermere where there's plenty of parking and right
Ryebeck is a lovely hotel near Windermere. The hotel staff and overall service was great and very welcoming. The views from the grounds are amazing too.
Beautiful views. Lovely garden, excellent dining room and outstanding breakfast.
Lovely room - and bathroom ( superior) but too small for a child's bed and we had to ask for a replacement bed since the first bed was too uncomfortable for an 11 year old. BUT this was dealt with rapidly and pleasantly for the next night. Really welcoming reception staff and easy parking.
Really lovely hotel, the rooms are very nice, large and up to date. Excellent breakfast menu. The evening meal was a tad expensive but overall a really great hotel.
Staff were great. Very attentive. Very professional. Attention to detail with regard to our dog was fantastic. They provided dog blanket, towel, bowls and treats. Absolutely fantastic. Staff made up dinner and breakfast table in lounge so we could eat with our dog.
The staff made sure our stay was extremely special for my parents’ birthday surprise.

I was rather disappointed that we were in the cottage and not the hotel . I was not aware of this when booking and will be checking the website . Our breakfast was probably reheated twice it was si iver dine and the knife could not cut the hash brown.
Lovely hotel in a lovely location, but when I relax in the lounge or bar I don't expect to be barked at by a dog every time I walk past. This happened in the evening and at breakfast/checkout. We won't be back....
