Book a Western Iceland Cottage

"I genuinely never leave reviews, but for this experience, I had to. Ayla was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The hotel was very clean, the check in process was smooth, and Ayla went above and beyond during checkout to make sure I made it to my flight on time. She was quick to respond, attentive to detail, and truly made the experience stress-free. Honestly, she made my first trip to Iceland such a great experience, and I would definitely visit again and book with Reykjavik Residence!!!"

"Good location, nice property, convenient to walk for shopping and dining. Room was nice and adequate, our only issue was there was a narrow tub in restroom with a shower pointed from one side. There was a hinged glass partition separating the shower from the commode. Problem was, the glass naturally stopped in a position outside of the tub. This made it difficult to impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. We asked for a solution to this and front desk said they would send someone to correct it, but nothing changed. We ended up wedging a hairbrush to hold the glass within the boundary of the tub and still had a decent amount of water escape."

"Soft bed, Viking experience with the cool ambiance in both the restaurant and breakfast room. The hot tub was nice. The only issue was the bathroom didn’t have a heater or vent. As a result clothes wouldn’t dry and the room was steamy after a full night."

"REALLY enjoyed this hotel and would stay here easy on a future trip. I esp liked the greeting of sweets when I came into the hotel room and my welcome msg on the flatscreen. This was my 5th scheduled trip to Reykjavik- but fulfilled 4th trip! This was my fav hotel, thus far. Clean, good 15 min walk from town ( good for me ), quiet, seemed safe. I stayed at another high end hotel on my first trip and enjoyed it as well. However, this place was quieter and the best part, BY FAR, was the orange tabby sleeping in the lobby, "MANGO". I brought him food and he was the highlight!!"

"A little big loud. We had a room on the front of the hotel. We had brought ear plugs with us so we were okay. Maybe an idea to have complimentary earplugs or an advisory that the front of the hotel is loud in the evening."

"This hotel is amazing. We arrived and live jazz was playing in the reception. The staff was amazing from check in to check out. The place is so sleek and sexy. The luggage storage was even sexy if that’s possible. The housekeeping keep the rooms and common spaces spotless! The hotel and individual floors are ultra secure. For $20 more it was so worth it over Fosshotel. And it is so close to everything you want to see. I can’t say enough. We will be staying here every time we come to Reykjavík. Also, Dieg is in the lobby and has world renowned bagels and donuts. Do yourself a favor and just book it."
