"Fantastic overnight stay at Blacksmiths Arms Inn. Large car park , lovely bar and dining area and superb staff. Was made to feel at home from the minute we arrived until we checked out. Room was of good quality and the food at dinner and breakfast was great. All staff were chatty as were the locals in the bar area. Definitely will stay again if in the area in future. "

"We had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and would do anything they could to make or stay enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble. The meals were very good, great choice for breakfasts, lunch and evening meals. Our room was very clean, housekeeping provided every day. The only problem we had was with the stairs , two flights up and one down to our room, both elderly with mobility issues. We did discover after our arrival there is a ground floor room available, unfortunately it was occupied...

"I would have marked the stay as excellent, but the room was cold as the radiator stat had been turned down to the frost mark. I adjusted but did not come on until the next morning. I suffer from arthritis and keep warm to reduce the pain because of the cold bed and room suffered with a lot of pain. "

"The owners were really helpful. I informed them beforehand I was arriving late, but I was even later than planned and they had no problem with this. It was a friendly welcome and I just needed a bed as a base for wildlife photography at Bempton and this fitted the bill. There was a bit of wear and tear in the room, but it was clean and a nice building. And great value for money. I would stay again."
