We stayed in room 2 and it has this amazing private porch area with a hot tub surrounded by beautiful green plants. And there are sweet little personal touches, fresh flowers in your room, robs and a table already set for your private breakfast. I loved everything about this beautiful mansion. I will be back."

The National Vietnam War Museum is the only attraction for me here, and although there are others, that's enough. However, the next time I visit the area, if an overnight stay is necessary, I'll stay in Mineral Wells because the motels are closer.

We enjoyed the selection of antique stores, and were hoping for book stores, too. The only one we found was a little coffee/book shop. Good coffee, but kind of dumpy atmosphere and deceptive book price signage.

The breakfast staff were exceptional. Our cups of coffee were never empty. The breakfast buffet has a good selection, so each morning offered something different. They were constantly refilling or restocking. We were never disappointed.
