"What an amazing place to stay! The building is clean and comfortable and smells so good. Awesome indoor pool with slide and spacious indoor/outdoor patio area. The absolute BEST part of this place is the staff! Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. It made our stay extra special. Absolutely will be staying at Sonesta when possible in our future travels. "

"First, let me say that not having valet and having to find parking half a mile down the road in freezing cold and while carrying luggage was very very disappointing!! The room itself was nice, however, the lighting needs much improvement. Unfortunately, I would only stay there in the warm spring or summer due to the lack of parking, especially for this price point. "

The breakfast in the morning was delicious, with lots to offer- one of the best breakfasts I’ve had at a hotel, and offered lots of options. Great downtown location, walking distance to many restaurants, the VanAndel Arena and lots of other cool things to check out. "

"The only issue was the toilet wasting water and running the whole time. Had to shut the door to avoid listening. Tried to fix it but it was a bad float valve. room 101. The morning I was to leave, I needed a window scraper in the morning, as it had snowed crustily on my rental vehicle. The front desk did not have one but the attendant gladly offered to retrieve one from their car. While they were gone, I discovered the rental had one. The attendant is very thoughtful. I should have food harder!"
