Property is nice. Room had a large gap under the door and I could hear everything in the hallway. At around 6 am I woke and there was no power in the hotel. Had to shower and pack up for an important at event with cell phone light only. Lobby was a mess with upset customers. For the price , you would think they would have a generator onsite ( multiple ) to accommodate an emergency. Contacted them directly and although they have apologized , they’ve offered no compensation for the inconvenience. Again , at the price they are charging they should’ve offered all staying there some compensation.

We had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott in downtown Grand Rapids! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the fireworks from the Jdek. It was such a fun experience, and the food they served was absolutely amazing. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The views of the river were beautiful and added to the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Grand Rapids!
