"The staff were absolutely excellent in every way and were the best thing about the hotel. Thanks to all the staff for being so helpful and so friendly. The breakfast was good in terms of choice and availability. The fruit could have been fresher. The bar area was great and offered great services and refreshments. Just a couple of small things re the room which explains why I didn’t give 5 stars. The pillows were very hard - we were a big party and had several rooms and everyone had that same feedback. Also my half of the bed was on a slope. The shower head was immovable so you have to wear a shower cap. However it was clean and the towels were changed daily. The parking wasn’t particularly easy. It’s great if you’re staying the weekend as there’s a fantastic rate at Nottingham station for that, but outside of that, navigating parking can be tricky."

"Room excellent, upgraded to executive room, but on 2nd floor, with no lift working. This was OK, but only because we had very light luggage. We really need a ground floor room if there's no lift now, as we are both pensioners sand beginning to experience mobility issues with stairs."

"We were given a room that having viewed others friends rooms was the worst, we had a very small room that was cold and asked for a heater and a view of a roof that was very dilapidated, not sure if we got the worse room because booked through Expedia also we had stuff left in the room from the previous guest"

"Breakfast was very good, good variety and hot. My wife is Lactose intolerant and wheat free. The staff were very helpful in making sure that she was given freshly cooked items. The room was clean ans Sraff very friendly. We didn't use the bar as were were attending an R.A.F. Reunion. The only disappointment was the cost of the car park."

"Such a lovely 2 night stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Clean and lovely hotel for the price paid. Only downside to the stay was that on Saturday night although the pub was over half empty there was over a 60 minute+ wait. So we had to travel else where to eat."

"Sadly, we stayed on the wrong day. We arrived after a six hour drive to find out there was an eighties night on in the marquee about 20 steps from our room. It went on until after midnight. The music I could have coped with but the Dj and accompanying karaoke sounded like they were in our room, completely unnecessarily. Then the guests were in and out of the front entrance door next to our room until 4am. Not exactly the restful night I hoped for especially for our six hour drive the following day. We ate in the restaurant which was good and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. I would possibly stay again before checking there was no function on as the room represented good value for money."
