Manager very attentive upgraded rooms because of an issue with air conditioning. Small fridge would have been a bonus but everything we needed in all our rooms, extra water and condiments in hallway. Fresh fruit was a nice touch. Restaurant was 10/10. The only disheartening incident was being refused Scottish bank notes, it is legal tender, definitely not the welcome we expected. Scotland is still part of the United Kingdom.

Hotel area a little tired especially entrance stairs, room was good a bit cold on entry but soon warmed up once I worked out the aircon unit which is explained in a handy instruction guide. Food was very good and the discount for guests was a nice touch

A pleasant business trip

Pub is very nicely setup and the food is great! Discounted if you have a room also which is a nice touch. Room was clean overall but did smell a little of stale smoke would be my only negative. Also the AC unit diddnt work when I initially turned it on, but it did come on in the night which kept the room nice and cool!

Good quiet air conditioning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food, bit of a delay on the delivery though! Comfortable, clean, quiet room, decent bed. Not much of a choice of real ale in the bar.

Room was fair but clean and really good that it had air conditioning. However the toilet kept filling up and emptying every 30 mins or so which was noisy and annoying during the night. Only stayed the one night so don't know if it got repaired.

The air conditioning wasn't working, luckily we bought our own fan. There was a large piece of broken glass under the bed which was concerning.
