"On the main drag, 1/2 mi from US221 S toward Asheville, about a mile from US441 east to the NC piedmont. I thought the Rhodes was great. Loved the way the room was trimmed out, suited me perfectly. You gotta want something a little different to enjoy the place; some will find the hiker chic a tad underwhelming. Thought the lobby was wonderful, the bar and restaurant look nice, didn't get a chance to eat there. Somebody took an old motor lodge from the postwar boom and updated it very well. Mountain views, smack in the middle of everything Boone. "

"Very nice hotel. The bathroom was a bit dirty and the glasses in the room were not clean but everything else was good. The breakfast was ok. The staff were all very nice. The parking lot is not great. It is hard to pull in off King street and hard to find a parking spot if you return late in the evening. "

"This property is very-very well equiped for large groups. Our family of 15 stayed here and there were plenty of things for everyone to do. Even a 60 year old beating his grandchildren in Mario-Kart. This is our third stay at this property and we will surely be back. The kitchen is stocked with all the appliances and resources needed for preparing meals. The property was clean, plenty of clean bathrooms, towels, etc. An ideal location for family get togethers!"
