Chetola is a beautiful property in need of some updates. We stayed in the main lodge building. Restaurant currently closed for renovation. Thermostat in our room was non working. Hot tub needed maintenance. Room was comfortable and would consider returning, especially after renovations are completed.

Amenities are excellent. Front guard gate staff were very kind, helpful. Check in was easy. We had several issues in our room, brought them to the attention of the front desk 4 times throughout 2 days. Each time it appeared that we were bothering them with no action taken. Nothing was done prior to our checkout. They were t apologetic or attempted to quickly correct the concerns. The Fitness center evidently runs classes outside of guests. When I entered, was told they would be using most of the space. I had a massage scheduled and wanted to get my workout in prior to the massage so stated and tried to work around that class. The space seems too small for outside classes. It’s a beautiful facility with much to do, but a more courteous, helpful staff would have made the stay much better.

Beautiful location and very nice hotel. My room was not ready at check-in time so the young lady at the front desk was kind enough to put me into a different room. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open nor was it open the following day which is not convenient at all for guests. The hot water was not working in the bathroom and apparently there were a few complaints from other guests as well. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

Room couldn't seem to cool down around time for bed even though I had it turned way down. However it was a super hot weekend. Finally around 2am I could tell we were making headway and we're able to finally go to sleep (soundly). Soap/shampoo dispenser in shower was completely empty, which I was sad because it smelled so good (the conditioner anyway) Otherwise the room was spacious, clean, and we were happy.

Rooms were very nice. Comfortable beds. Wonderful staff. Had yummy breakfast at Timberlake restaurant. Beautiful restaurant with stone and woodwork and fireplaces. Had picnic by the lake for our dinner. Three disappointments: Made lunch reservations at Timberlake’s on arrival day. Confirmed through Resy. Restaurant was CLOSED! Also, several geese and swans by lake. Be careful where you step on grassy areas. Wish I’d paid extra for room with balcony facing lake. We had no balcony and overlooked parking lot. Nice indoor pool with older wooden deck just outside. Great location to beautiful Blowing Rock!
