"Absolutely lovely. We were upgraded to a suite. The room was huge spotlessly clean and kept well. Complimentary minibar was a nice surprise and it was great having both shower and bath. Breakfast had an excellent choice and was generally good quality. The full English was ok but not the best but on second had excellent other choices. Service throughout was excellent."

"Fabulous, our room 402 had a huge balcony with views over the estuary and of the pier. Staff were very friendly and attentive, evening meal of sharing steak was cooked exactly as we like it and breakfast was also very nice, highly recommend the full English for the hungry or sausage muffin. The location is also great, up on the cliff away from the noise but only a short walk to the lift and no more than 5 minutes walk to the pier. My only suggestions to make this perfect would be to make a little more of the balconies with some high end table and chairs and some instructions for the shower, first use was interesting :) Thank you for making our break in Southend stay wonderful."

"This is a great place to stay highly recommend! Reasonably priced and very good value. The room we had was quite comfortable on the top floor with a private balcony area, perfect for us smokers. We were right in the heart of the center easy walking distance to castle and pubs/ nightlife. The front desk is located just across the street and the staff were all super friendly and helpful! Would stay again for sure if ever back in the area great job!"
