"This property is exceptionally well-located within Lucca’s walled city and has the advantage of having parking (extra fee, must be reserved). Everything within the walled city was walkable from the hotel. And the breakfast was lovely."

"Our stay in Lucca at the Residenza FillAnfi exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host, Valentina who provided a great overview of the city and personally escorted us to our rooms. Her warmth and exuberance put us in a great frame of mind to begin our stay. We were in the Il Duomo room, which had ample space for all of our things and still leave plenty of room to walk around. The bathroom area was also large - the entire room was just very comfortable. There is a separate area near the rooms for guests to get coffee, cold filtered water, and snacks, which was very convenient To get from entry area on street level to your room you have to walk up a couple of flights of stairs - which should be noted if you have to carry multiple pieces of luggage - and there are other rooms in the same building that are not associated with the FillAnfi. Just look for the signs on the doors to get you to the appropriate place. The building is located in a great area, just around the corner from the main amphitheater in Lucca, which is a great spot for dining, gelato, or just hanging out. Also, FillAnfi is on Via Fillungo, which is one of the main shopping areas in Lucca - a small cobblestoned street with a great variety of shops on both sides. Lucca is a wonderful place to visit, and I highly recommend the Residenza FillAnfi as a place to stay."

"The apartment was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations in every way. The apartment was spotless and the host was extremely helpful, welcoming, and available for any questions. The balcony offered stunning views of Lucca and the distant Tuscan mountains. The location is fantastic. Everything you need is within a short walk. Lucca offers great restaurants, shops, and even gelato right across the street. The historic city wall path is lined with lovely trees and benches. We loved exploring the rich history, local culture, and nearby sights including local Puccini concerts. An exceptional stay in every way ! Highly recommended !"

"The moment we arrived Francesco greeted us warmly. The room was clean, quiet and had a lovely terrace we could enjoy along with onsite parking. The pool while unheated was a great place to relax at. Fabio, the bartender at the bar provide us excellent service and was always working hard. He’s a great representation of what good customer service should be. The breakfast staff at the breakfast buffet also went above and beyond to make sure our coffee orders and food were just right. Thank you to all the staff for making this a great stay!"

"We booked hotel Rex last minute so we could just wake up and hop on the train in Lucca. It had everything we needed but no extras. I would only spend one night here. Breakfast was extremely basic and needed to get better coffee at the cafe across the street. But over all room was clean and quiet."
