"Lovely old 3-star property right outside the wall. Clean in all areas. Super friendly staff from Front Desk to breakfast to room maids. Great self-serve breakfast and a variety of teas and cookies in the hallways for guests to serve themselves. The room had all the amenities you need. Hotel is near the rail station, but I never heard a train. Some reviews talk about folks hanging around the train station which I did not encounter and I felt safe at all times."

One more thing — breakfast was absolutely delicious and always fresh. The woman working each morning was especially attentive and would make us the perfect coffee without us even having to ask. "We were here for two weeks (after Comic and Games) and stayed in the 5 bedroom apartment. The layout of the place worked beautifully for the group of women who stayed the first week as well as the next group of couples who stayed the second week. It afforded both privacy and great places to gather for conversation. The kitchen/dining room hosted several private dinners. It was conveniently located, quiet and the elevator made it easily accessible for all. We let management know about a few minor issues and they addressed them in a timely manner."

"We left the train station in Lucca, put in the address of La Luna and had a wonderful short walk, less than a mile into the town of Lucca and to the Hotel La Luna. We were greeted by hotel staff who quickly got us into our rooms, two couples-two rooms. The rooms were nice and would be considered average. The highlight of the hotel is the morning breakfast (included in the fee), an attached bar and lounge and directly across the street, about 60 feet, a very nice restaurant. Please note that if you have difficulty with stairs, it seems all the rooms were above the main floor and carrying suit cases or walkers could be a problem. The hotel is in the center of town and is very accessible to everything Lucca has to offer. We did find our room was overlooking the restaurant and trying to get to sleep before the restaurant was closed created some difficulty. If we stay there again, we would ask for a room away from the street. "
