Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"A wonderful stay at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. The setting, views and wildlife are spectacular, but what really makes this place special is the people. Every member of staff was genuinely warm, welcoming and eager to help. A special mention goes to Chris at the bar, whose attentive, friendly service was outstanding. He remembered guests, took the time to chat, and made everyone feel valued without ever seeming rushed. Including involving my son in games and fist bumps! Beautiful lodges can be found all over the world, but it's the staff who create unforgettable memories. Victoria Falls Safari Lodge has clearly built an exceptional team, and they're the reason we'd both return without hesitation. Highlight of our 4 weeks in SW Africa."

"had a wonderful stay at Waterfalls Lodge and genuinely enjoyed my experience from start to finish. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the service was excellent, and the overall experience was one I would happily recommend to others. A very special shout-out to Marzi, who was absolutely exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, professional, and went out of her way to make sure we were well looked after. Her attitude and level of service really stood out to me. Honestly, Marzi is the best of the best ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ She is a real asset to Waterfalls Lodge and deserves to be recognised and appreciated for the excellent service. "The location is perfect. We seen elephants, striped mongoose, and wart hogs on the property. Baboons across the street. Located next to shopping and a few restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Spa services were also good. I highly recommend this resort. I would definitely stay here again."

"Leading up to our arrival, Livingstone Lodge sent a message about securing transportation since there is no Uber/Lyft service in Victoria Falls, just taxis. The standard rate to and from the airport was $30 USD and it was worth it. By the time we landed, our taxi driver who goes by "Knowledge," was already waiting for us in the arrival area. The entire hotel staff is very friendly, and getting breakfast included as part of our booking worked out great. Our housekeeper, Gamuchirai, was super kind and welcoming. It was also nice that the hotel didn't have a television, one less distraction."

When is the best time to go to Victoria Falls?
The best time to visit Victoria Falls is during the dry season, from May to October, when the weather is generally sunny and the water levels are lower.During these months, the reduced spray from the falls allows for clearer views of the entire curtain of water, making it ideal for photography and appreciating the sheer scale of this natural wonder. The lower water levels also make activities like white-water rafting more exhilarating due to faster currents. For those interested in wildlife viewing, the dry season is particularly good. Animals tend to congregate around the permanent water sources, such as the Zambezi River, making them easier to spot on safaris in nearby national parks. This is especially appealing for travellers who want to combine their visit to the falls with a safari experience. While the wet season (November to April) brings lush greenery and a fuller, more powerful falls, the immense spray can often obscure views and make photography challenging.
