Couldn't say a bad word about the staff at this hotel. They were really helpful with everything and even made me a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to me as a surprise!!! Thank you Liza and all your staff for a lovely 2 days!

Worth the stay
Upon reading a few reviews about the hotel, area and quality of breakfast, I nearly booked elsewhere. So glad that I ended up booking at staying at this hotel. Firstly, the breakfast is one of the best spreads I've seen and I have absolutely no idea as to why some have criticised it. The food is fresh, plentiful, high quality and the largest range / offering I've seen in a long long time. The area is perfectly safe. Yes, there is a little bit of graffiti but you'll get that anywhere. It is well positioned near restaurants, a laundromat and supermarket (7 mins walk), the bus to Venice (bus 43) stops directly outside the hotel and it's $1.50 euro per person per trip. The hotel was a little dated in the hallways, and the carpet could probably do with replacing, however the suite that we stayed in was perfectly clean and tidy. The staff were terrific, check in / out was easy. The hotel arranged a taxi for us to the airport upon request. The bar is really good, though the hotel restaurant is currently closed due to the off season. The only criticism I could come up with is that maintenance seemed to be lacking. There were a couple of light bulbs that were blow, the toilet seat hinges were very noisy, one of the power points didn't work, one of the shelves in the closet was very obviously broken. I'd give this hotel a solid 9 out of 10 for location, value, comfort.

Air con switched off in winter. Boiling hot room.
The hotel turns off the air on in the winter. This meant there was no way to control the temperature in my room and it was like a sauna. I couldn’t sleep it was so hot. If I opened a window bugs flew in.

The hotel itself is primarily a corporate/ conference hotel, so be aware of that. The area between the train station and hotel is somewhat rough (a dockland area), so good to people to be aware of that if walking from train to hotel.

Advertised as non smoking hotel but clearly someone had previously been smoking in room. Took the hotel two days to move us to another room. Cleanliness was poor. Area felt unsafe at night.

Don’t stay here. AC activated on a time basis rather than (on a sensible) temperature basis. Entered the room and it was 24.8 degreees with window open. Now 26.2 with mosquitos outside. So you’ve got 2 options. Sleep cooly with the window open and mosquitoes, or have a nice sweaty night in your room. Comfort means nothing to this place. I mean not unreasonable to expect AC from a hotel that advertises it has AC. we weren’t the only ones to complain about this. Free WiFi is slow. You can pay for faster WiFi, not sure how fast it is.

The rooms are big with large comfy bed. Very neat and tidy all the way from lounge to lifts to rooms. Very quiet location, peaceful but with plenty of shops in walking distances. Little far from the Venice canals but transportation is available. Overall a great stay

It was awful! Due to the refrigerant gas leak in our room! When we requested maintenance to come (we thought it was ammonia) no one came up to our room on the 2nd floor. We couldn’t breathe well and exited into the hallway. House keeping was a few doors down and she came in to assist us. Upon entering the room she immediately called the front desk, opened the window and proper the door open. I went down to request another room and then returned to repack all of our belongings. We had to make several trips and as soon as I stepped out of the elevator the gas smell was very strong! At this point housing keeping had removed the door prop due to the gas was entering the hall. After we settled into our new room, my husband went back downstairs to get some ice. He saw the night manager and requested for her to come to room. She stated they don’t use ammonia to clean.! However once she entered she was shocked by the gas oder! I use up all night and I was unable to sleep due to a severe headache and threw up 3 times! In the morning I requested to speak to the day manager. She stated she was aware of the problem and found out it was the mini fridge and it was leaking. With that said NO ONE ever asked about how we were doing or feeling! She was unable to provide us any sort of compensation! Due to the fact we used Expedia as our agent and it was up to them. If they would credit us back one night she would approve it. However, when Expedia tried to contact her she was unavailable.

Good hotel close to Venice
The hotel is nice. There's a vast selection for breaktfast. Parking is €12 per day on site. The rooms are nice. You get tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but they're not replenished. On the first night my room was freezing, and you cannot control the temperature from the room. Ended up calling reception so that they could switchi of the cooling. There were no extra pillows or bedding in the room so it took me a few hours to warm up (I actually took a hot shower). They changed my towels even if I hadn't used them or I hadn't left them on the floor (normally if you want towles to be changed you leave them on the floor or in the bathtub). Considering the location, it's not cheap.

This hotel is a conference centre too and has 2 parts to it; building A and building B. We entered via building A but was told our room is in building B. So we had to walk around the marina to collect our keys from building B. I also wanted to use the gym which unfortunately is in building A. Parking is convenient and underground and has many spaces but again make sure you know which building you are staying at first. Room was clean, bed was comfortable but could do with refurbishment. Shower pressure was weak so was the air con. Could do with being colder and airflow stronger. Would only go as far down as 21 deg C. Breakfast had lots of options and more than enough for a morning meal.

We had a family room (two room suite) which was a great size and comfortable. Apart from the squeaky bathroom door not a lot to complain about. Hotel itself was part of a massive conference centre and split in two. Families appeared to all placed in the far hotel which was less air conditioned in communal areas and slightly further away from bar restaurant in the main hotel. No internal link between the two hotels which would be better rather than moving between the two in the summer heat or in rain. Great marina setting by the outdoor terrace and bar. However hotel not very accessible by foot as it is on the edge of a trading estate. Bus links right outside the door but they were temperamental at best.

Out dated hotel. Outside looks beautiful, lobby looks nice, hallway carpeting old, stained and un attended. Rooms out dated, showers need remodel. Served it’s purpose however would probably find another hotel next time. Staff was excellent & friendly.
