Great communication from the hotel sending links to log my personal information and the codes for the main building, luggage room and my room. The room was clean and spacious, the air con was great and the bed comfortable. I struggled to find the luggage room but the staff member who was doing breakfast helped me to find it, she was very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend Locanda Herion. It’s in a good location with lots of bars and restaurants near by. It’s also in walking distance from all the main attractions.

The hotel was nice and comfortable. The address in Expedia is incorrect. That issue created a delayed for us to arrive at the hotel. It made it very difficult to find the hotel. The host was available on WhatsApp and provided guidance to find the location of the hotel.

Good Location and clean room. Air conditioning was great as it had a quiet mode. Room itself very basic and no space to put anything anywhere in the bathroom. Room was directly next to the cleaning cupboard so that we got regularly woken up between 6 and 7 in the morning.

Facility is ok, but service not so much.

There is no reception, and if you need any assistance at all, good luck! It took us over 90 minutes to get our code to enter the room. There was no elevator. The shower had no hot water for 3 of our 7 attempts at showers. The room was decent and clean. It was tricky to find, but in a good location, relatively close to the train station. The shower was tiny, with no shelves for soap or shampoo. Nothing fancy, but clean.

Great location not so great property to stay

The property is nice and clean. However no service in the room like kettle or cofee cups etc. Everything in common area. No ceramic bowls or anything to warm food etc. Warm water finishes around 9.30to 10am hence have a bath early or get used to having luke warm or cold shower. Also ensure if you are booking share your phone no / whats app to connect or you will not get the room code and may get stranded outside. No clear communication was sent on email.

A very nice hotel in a very good location close to the train station and closer to a vaporetto station. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful going well beyond what one could normally expect. This will definitely be our first preference for our next Venice trip.

Very nice accommodation, staff and assistance were great and very helpful via phone call and whatsapp. Our room was clean, welcoming and big! About the area, Locanda Herion is located in the Cannaregio which is my favorite district, it's close to the station, but also a lively but not too busy area with lots of nice restaurants and 'bacari'. Highly recommended!

Tricky check in, otherwise great stay.

The checking in process was a bit cumbersome. There was a portal we needed to use, but never got the right link. I believe it's because the number in their system didn't match ours specifically the +1 for usa. So needed to reach out to do hotel by WhatsApp, luckily we did that on the train to Venice. The location, rooms, price and price level were great.

Property was in a great location for walking and was clean. I was a little uneasy for check in. I needed to check in early and it was hard to get good communication. In the end it all worked out and someone was there but it was not clear or assuring.

Great stay right in the heart of Venice. As others have stated, the check in process can be a bit cumbersome, but just make sure you fill out all of information that they request before you get there. And also whatsapp is the best way to communicate with them. The room was comfy, very clean, and had everything we needed. The housekeepers that we met were very friendly, helpful, and eager to answer any questions that we had. Do yourself a favor to get away from the big crowds and spend some time in Cannareggio. Great food choices and more locals than tourists. Locanda Herion was a great stay!
