1. Coriva Beach Hotel

Ierapetra

"The Coriva Beach hotel is a delight. Everywhere you look, the property is beautifully maintained, everything is just aesthetically pleasing, the staff is warm and friendly. The hotel is not opulently luxurious or overdone. It's a family owned place: three brothers took over the management of the place from their Dad. So, it doesn't have that Hiltony-Marriot-like corporate feel to it. Instead, Covina is homey, relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast options here are varied and delicious, with tables...

"Lovely new, clean resort was a pleasure to stay here even though the weather was not so good to begin with. Close enough to town to walk in for lunch/ dinner which was just as well as dinner options are limited to buffet or bar snacks. The food quality is very ops though. Nice place to stay"

Minos Palace Resort - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent

"Modern design on a beautiful point. 270 degrees of ocean views. The hotel was full, but the layout offered us a lot of personal space and privacy. The staff were wonderful. For me & every tourists nightmare - I lost my passport on the plane. The concierge, Mariana, knew how stressful this was and was on the phone to the airline, the airport, and the police for us right away. She found it for me. Just incredible. Thank you, and thanks to the airport staff and police for being well prepared for these events."

Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort

8/10 Good

"Inconsistent staff experience, on first day staff was spontaneous to provide beach towels them following days needed to find people to get those towels. Breakfast a little bit too crowded and noisy with limited selection. Over priced dinner buffet option to avoid. Italian restaurant on premise had great food but again service was not at level"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Vasiliki?

The best area to stay in Vasiliki is right in the heart of Vasiliki village, especially along the waterfront promenade. This area is the focal point of activity, offering a relaxed atmosphere with direct access to the sea. The promenade is lined with tavernas, cafes, and a few local shops, all overlooking the bay. It's a compact and walkable area, making it easy to stroll from your accommodation to a meal or to catch a boat trip. For couples seeking a blend of relaxation and activity, staying in the village centre is ideal. You'll be steps away from charming eateries for romantic dinners and have immediate access to the beach for swimming or simply enjoying the sunshine. The evening buzz of the promenade provides a pleasant backdrop without being overly loud.Families will also find the village centre highly convenient. The shallow, calm waters of Vasiliki Bay are great for children to play in, and many accommodations are just a short walk from the beach.

When is the best time to go to Vasiliki?

The best time to go to Vasiliki is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, and September. These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures great for outdoor activities like swimming, hiking, and exploring the local area, without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find the sea is warm enough for a comfortable dip, and the evenings are mild. For couples seeking a relaxing getaway, these periods are ideal. The beaches are less crowded, allowing for a more intimate experience, and you'll find it easier to secure reservations at the more popular tavernas. The atmosphere is generally more tranquil, great for unwinding.Families travelling with children will also appreciate the shoulder seasons. The milder temperatures are more comfortable for little ones, and there's still plenty of sunshine for beach days and outdoor adventures.
