"We stayed a week during December 2021. We have been welcome with a bottle of white wine, which was a nice gesture from Michel. The flat is fully furnished with everything you need; the bedrooms are spacious (quite uncommon for flats in the Alps); lots of storage. We had a ski storage area which was useful. The free shuttle bus is just a couple of minutes from the flat. Only suggestion is to provide bed linen and towels for free :)"

"Great location, free underground parking is a bonus, height was fine for a Toyota Hilux and you can drop off luggage for half an hour at the roundabout adjacent the block. We were six adults and it is "cosy", the table has leaf extensions both ends so could all sit to eat. Balcony both sides, the one at the entrance has a box to store walking boots etc. Stairs are narrow with no hand rail and space upstairs is cramped as others have observed. The lack of door on the double room up there must be...

"Always lovely to stay here, staff are friendly. The rooms I’ve always stayed in have been tired, but clean enough. BEWARE, Don’t bother paying cash for the Tax de Sejour upon check out as you will then be charged AGAIN on your credit card you used for security upon check in. I’ve been contacting the hotel since I got back to the UK trying to get a refund, but 7 messages later and I still have not heard back from them. The only negative to an otherwise lovely annual visit."

"Very nice hotel and room. Nicely decorated. Fairly new. Magalie at Reception was superb. Thanks! Location a bit out of the action but walkable to everything. Had dinner at the restaurant at night, not the best meal. Probably best to eat out. Bed squeaky. Would stay again. Love Val d'Isere!!!!"

"Staff was very helpful, location is ideal. But, can't figure out why a bed too large for the room is shoe-horned in, with a small counter-table located so it is almost impossible to get around bed to rest of room. "

"We are a family of four, with two college-age children, and had a wonderful stay at the Samovar. We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was perfect for us (with two beds in a spacious upstairs loft). The hotel is perfectly located -- literally across the street from the Dailles gondola (and only about a block from the funicular to the summit). There are a couple of restaurants nearby, including a great Savoyarde spot across the street. There is a regular shuttle bus to the main village of...
