    We stayed at Chaab’il B’e for four days over Christmas 2019. My wife and I were the only two guests on the property, and Sheila put us into Lodge Room #2. We loved our stay because of the grounds - one can walk into the jungle (remember bug spray), to a swimming hole, and see many birds - and the animals (two dogs, Chewy & Solo, live on site). The breakfasts are also filling and freshly-prepared and tasty, and the staff allowed us to use the upper room at night to just hang out and relax. Only downside is location - if you don’t have a car, this lodge is a bit out of town. However, Sheila was helpful on getting us a rental car locally and hooking us up with Punta Gorda Adventures to do some cave exploring and fire hearth coking. Sheila and her husband did work hard to make sure we had a great stay in PG!…
