"The staff at this hotel are the real stars, particularly Emelita Teul and Linsburg Chun, who go over and above anything required of them to be as helpful and hospitable as possible. The staff generally are very friendly, kind, considerate, and gentle (like most Belizeans, I might add). The hotel itself has clearly seen its glory days, and is now almost decrepit, I won't list and detail every little thing that did not work, was broken, or absent. It would have been a genuinely uncomfortable stay...

"Beware that there are no cancellations. You cannot reach the hotel and the only option for dining is $47 a day according to the website. Could not confirm amenities or accommodation of diet restrictions. Had to make another booking but was still charged for this one and could not get refunded even though I tried to contact them repeatedly and expedia as well. We stayed at Creekside Oasis instead."

"Howler monkeys by the creek, including a baby. The owner came to get us so we could see them. Thank you! The homemade meals were delicious and really appreciated the focus of keeping it Belize style. This will be a return to for us in a few years. The manager is great and shared his vast knowledge. He scheduled our tour at Eladio’s cacao farm which I highly recommend. Thanks to you all! "

The cabanas are well appointed. Davin, Mona, Vincent, Cordelia, Sarah, Steven, and the rest of the staff are all people I hope to see again!"
